“We visited Delhiwala in Southall with quite high expectations because we had heard a lot about the food and were really excited to try it. The overall experience was pleasant, especially the atmosphere and ambience, which were really nice and welcoming. When it came to the food, though, it was more average than we expected. The taste was decent but didn’t quite live up to the hype. The chaap was definitely the highlight—very tasty and something we would happily order again. The lassi was also good, refreshing and enjoyable. We also tried the Schezwan noodles, but honestly, they didn’t stand out as much as we expected. Considering the popularity and hype around the food, we were expecting a stronger and more memorable taste. Overall, Delhiwala has a nice atmosphere, good service and a few dishes worth trying, particularly the chaap and lassi. However, based on our visit, the overall food experience was more normal/average rather than exceptional. I’d say it’s worth visiting, but go with moderate expectations rather than expecting something extraordinary.”

“Family of four trying Indian food for the first time as a family (fussy 6 and 9 year olds). The food was excellent - full of different flavours (not your average local curry house). But what set it apart was the welcome we received - the main server was super patient, gave us lots of good advice and just made us feel at home. Top marks all round.”
