  “An amazing dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, authentic, and the portions were so generous that we couldn't even finish everything! The service was outstanding, and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive. If you're looking for real Afghan cuisine, this is the place to go. And don't leave without trying their Shir Yakh ice cream – it's absolutely delicious and a must-try! Highly recommended. We will definitely be back!”

  “Sheeryakh here is always top tier. It’s all you want on a hot day but you always worry about it melting. The service here is so great that we were pleasantly surprised to find that not only had the ice cream not melted at all, they’d packaged it with ice to ensure that we got the best experience. Amazing service and taste, thank you”

  “Last night I visited Karwan Southall Afghan Restaurant with my family. Unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. We ordered lamb karahi, Kabuli rice, and mantu, but the food arrived very late and was cold. The customer service was poor, and nobody properly checked on us during the meal. When I complained to the manager, instead of resolving the issue properly, I was only offered a 20% discount and told that next time I would get something free. I do not think this was fair because the problem was not my fault, and the food quality was not acceptable.there is no bread no plates I hope the restaurant improves its service, food quality, and customer care in the future. Thank you for your response. However, I would like to point out that my name is not Salman, which raises concerns that this reply may not have been carefully reviewed before being posted. I also did raise my concerns with the manager during my visit. The manager acknowledged my complaint and offered a 20% discount and free food on a future visit. My review reflects my genuine experience regarding the cold food, service delays, and overall customer service. I did not mention hair in the food in my review, so I am unsure why this was included in your response. I stand by my review as an honest account of my experience. Update: The restaurant has now acknowledged that I raised my concerns with management during my visit and that a 20% discount was offered. While I appreciate that acknowledgment, I still believe the service, waiting time, and food quality did not meet reasonable expectations for the amount spent. This review reflects my genuine experience on the night.”

  “I've been here several times with groups from 8-20 people and they are always accommodating (I do suggest tooting dor bigger groups). The staff are polite, attentive and friendly. The food portions are generous and often feed more people than the suggestion on the menu. The food is amazing, good variety, always freshly cooked and service is fairly prompt, even qith big groups. They've renovated and so there's now back support the whole way around the carpet areas and the table areas are more comfortable too. I highly recommend this restaurant if you want delicious food, great service and an inviting atmosphere.”

  “Good mix of sizzling grilled kebabs in the mix grill. Very nicely spiced. Just found some parts of some kebabs overcooked and very charred. The naan also was a little hard to bite. The restaurant is nicely designed with an open kitchen at the entrance. Service was helpful just took a little long to get attended to.”

  “The selected food we got is always except for the Mantu which doesn’t have much flavour to it. The only bad side is the customer service, especially in busy hours - we’ve had several kids menu being served without sauce which states in the menu that they get, which had to be asked for a few times. Cutleries weren’t given had to be asked for, had to wait for quite some time for extra tissues… BUT, overall the restaurant is always great. Missed out on their delicious Afghan dessert - Sheeryakh this time.”

  “Absolutely atrocious service with 2 rude ladies working there and continually complaining saying how we have brought drinks which is fair enough their policy but no one had touched their drinks and were constantly blaming us saying we have had our drinks. They threatened to charge us £5 per person as we had drinks which were unopened as they said it is okay to keep even if we didn’t drink them. Furthermore, the food here was questionable as I ordered a chicken steak with chips for £15.. and I was given this (photo below), I had no more energy to complain towards the 2 ladies who were constantly on us. Whoever in the kitchen thought this was acceptable should really recheck if they have the qualification to actually serve there. Was an awful experience in my opinion.”

  “Amazing experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious—full of flavour and beautifully prepared. You can really tell they care about quality and authenticity. The seating area is beautiful and very comfortable, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes you want to stay longer. The service was also excellent—friendly and professional. If you go, you must try their Chopan Kebab, Chapli Kebab, and Sheer Yakh — they were absolutely outstanding and full of rich, authentic flavors. Highly recommend this place if you're looking for great food and a wonderful dining experience!”

I’ve been to over 45 Afghan restaurants, and this one stands above all the rest. The flavors are phenomenal, the quality is extraordinary, and the experience is unparalleled.   “This was my second visit to this restaurant and once again it did not disappoint. The food was excellent, full of flavour and clearly well prepared. The staff were great friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The ambience was warm and inviting. Overall, a very enjoyable experience and I would happily return again.”
