Customer Review Summary

The grill is the most repeated draw, from the veggie mixed grill to the Soho grill, with butter chicken close behind. Cheesy chilli chips and an elderflower margarita are also singled out. Several describe the service as helpful and friendly, including one server who explained the menu to vegetarian diners, and a parent praises the kids bento box with rice, naan, chips and a mild curry. The view over the green fields and the well organised parking come up too. Reviewers do raise trade-offs. Spice is the most common warning, since the medium balti and lamb balti ran hot, while the butter chicken came across as sweet and korma-like and one special was called mild. Prices are described as high compared with other branches, a three person platter came with only two lamb chops, and one takeaway grill arrived burnt. On a packed Sunday, one table found no air conditioning on and waited on desserts while staff said they would check and never returned. Once a supervisor chased it, the cookie dough and rasmalai sandwich arrived, and both were called delicious.

“I honestly don't think I've ever experienced customer service on the level that Adi provided at Soho Tavern. From the moment we walked in until the moment we left, he went above and beyond in every possible way. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, professional and genuinely made us feel like VIPs throughout the entire visit. Nothing was ever too much trouble, he anticipated what we needed before we even had to ask, and his positive attitude completely transformed the experience. It's incredibly rare to come across someone who clearly takes so much pride in what they do and cares so much about every customer having a brilliant time. The food was fantastic, but Adi's service somehow managed to outshine even that. He is an absolute credit to Soho Tavern and sets the standard for what exceptional hospitality should look like. If every restaurant had someone like Adi, dining out would be an entirely different experience. Thanks guys.”

“Aditya saw amazing. He helped us with ordering our food. Explained in detail what to order. As we're vegetarian he told us what items are nice. Took photos for us. So helpful. A gem..... He's an asset to your establishment!!!”

“Visited this branch of Soho Tavern for the first time on Sunday. Pros: Staff – most of the staff were attentive. Friendly and always smiling when they took orders. Staff have different uniforms, so you can see which staff are trainees. One trainee member was miserable just slamming drinks down on the table. Rest of the staff no problem. You can order via scanning the code on your table. Food : We had the mixed grill, they took off the prawns at our request. Mains: We had the Soho classic butter chicken- really sweet, the sauce was more like korma style. Paneer, lamb balti and chicken curry were really spicy, which we are ok with. But I would check spice levels if you don’t like your food hot! Desserts took over 40 mins to arrive, yes the place was very busy. But we had to ask 2 members of staff how long they were going to be, only to be told we will check but they never returned. We then managed to get the attention of one of the blokes not sure if he was a manager or supervisor. who we asked if we could just cancel the order and get a refund as we had to leave. But he wouldn’t let us just said I’ll l chase it up as its peak time and we are busy, attitude was quite abrupt. Hey presto, Within 5 mins they had arrived, desserts were delicious though, both the cookie dough and the rasmalai sandwich. View if you sit outside is amazing! Cons: Extremely busy, no air con was on! Ladies toilets are upstairs! Beware if wearing heels up the stairs! Toilets wouldn’t flush, water was a trickle in the taps. Told the male member of staff by the balcony, he just said ok and walked off! Car park is not very big, but we managed to get a space.Thete was a young lad directing the cars. Expensive for what it is, think it's to cater mainly for the area. We've been to the Handsworth, Oldbury and West brom branches and compare the prices! At least £5 added to each curry here! And £1 extra on everything else! Nice venue and location, food is ok but not worth the price.”

“Wow. Food is incredible, so tasty and fresh. Open kitchen is a nice touch and very good value for money. Cheesy chilli chips and a elderflower margarita were just so good!! Venue is beautiful too! Service was brilliant, we had Lavisha and she was really helpful. Will be back in the summer to enjoy the beautiful grounds”
