About Manor Farm - Dining & Carvery
Manor Farm - Dining & Carvery is a pub on Chester Rd in Birmingham, built around a carvery with a choice of vegetables, potatoes and trimmings, and two different gravies. Portions come in different sizes, so a plate can be matched to the appetite. An indoor play area for under 5s gives families with small children a place to play. The main menu adds a mixed grill and half chicken, and the dessert list runs to puddings and cake slices, including fudge cake. The pub is walk-in, with no reservations to arrange. Guests order at the bar, and the food is brought to the table.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return for the carvery, especially the Sunday roast, praising the good variety of potatoes and veg, the choice of two gravies and the option to pick portion sizes. A mixed grill from the main menu is called tasty and filling, and the desserts are close behind, with a fudge cake and oversized cake slices that one family took home in boxes. Value for money comes up repeatedly, as does friendly, welcoming staff. One server helped a diner on a mobility scooter find a chair and transfer, and another put candles in a birthday cake and sang. Some reviewers describe a relaxed atmosphere where kids can run around. The complaints are specific. One diner found the roast potatoes overcooked black and the parsnips charcoaled. Another says the carvery had run out of turkey, beef and steak for the second visit, that a half chicken looked disgusting, and that older children were in the under-5 play area where a toddler was knocked down twice. A third mentions overcooked chips, taken in good humour alongside praise for the puddings.

“We came here Saturday evening for my daughters birthday we were greeted at the door by a young man and shown to a table we got settled and arrived at the bar to order this is where we met a lovely young girl called NAYCHA 🩷 who honestly couldn't do enough for us she got our drinks and food sorted and checked back with us to make sure everything was ok she had time patients and was very polite it was our 1st visit and she explained everything to us even the gluten free menu 😁 even took the time to put candles in my daughters fudge cake and came over to sing happy birthday with us 🥰 NAYCHA... 🩷 u are a credit to the place u need a promotion and most definitely a well deserved payrise 🥰 we will definitely be returning even though our chips were overcooked /double dipped chef life 💪🤣 the puddings were amazing 🤪 🫶”

“I had an absolutely awful time here this evening, we got their at 4.30 had a booking at five, i let my 2 year old play in the indoor play area and had to take her out because she got thrown to the ground twice by older kids who shouldn’t have been in their as their was a massive sign saying under 5 only. Went to order food at 5 they had no turkey or beef and no steaks either. I dont usually write bad reviews however this is the second time ive been here and they have ran out of meat for the carvery. I ordered a half chicken and it looked absolutely disgusting when it came i was absolutely horrified that they could charge for it. Staff weren’t friendly and i was really wound up from the whole experience wished i never bothered. If your looking for a nice carvery i recommend the swan or toby carvery not here.”
