  “This is definitely the best value roast in the area. Tender turkey, fresh veg, delicious potatoes and gravy plus excellent blush wine. Great family pub. Staff friendly, polite and attentive. Very reasonable priced food and drink. Function room and buffet available. Quiz night Sunday. Free parking.”

  “I had a very disappointing experience at The Jolly Fenman. Before we arrived, we were told that outside tables could not be reserved, so we turned up three hours early to make sure we could get one. When we got there, we found that several garden tables had in fact been reserved, which was very frustrating. We managed to find a large table in the garden that seated around 16 people. There were five of us there initially, waiting for the rest of our party to arrive, but the manager Peter then said the rest of our group couldn’t join us because there weren’t enough seats, despite knowing we were expecting a larger party and already being at a large table. To make matters worse, we waited over an hour for our food even though the pub wasn’t busy. The tables and chairs were sticky and dirty from spilled drinks, and when I politely asked if they could be cleaned, the staff complained instead of simply cleaning them. The manager and staff came across as rude and unhelpful throughout our visit. The poor service, lack of organisation, and unfriendly attitude made for a very disappointing experience, and I wouldn’t recommend visiting based on what we experienced. Overall, the experience was extremely disappointing. Peter, the manager, was very rude and spoke to me in a way that made me feel belittled and unwelcome. Good customer service costs nothing, but unfortunately that was completely lacking during our visit.”

  “Lovely local family pub at the heart of the community. Friendly and polite regulars. Staff are fantastic especially Peter, Toby and Simon. Excellent value for money here! Love the fish and chips also the turkey roasts. Only complaint is that Green King should have installed air conditioning here when refurbishing !”

  “It's been a good few years since I've been here but attended for a private party and the place looks amazing. Loved the beer garden and deco indoors. Food and drinks were a great price and staff were lovely and super friendly. Definitely be back again soon.”

  “We came for our Son and Nephews birthday on the hottest day of the year! The staff were lovely Peter offered the kids free deserts. There was confusion on one of the mains and the deserts but Toby sorted it all out no problem. Food was really good and everyone was happy. Thanks to all for a great evening!”

  “New menu starts on the 19th May! Best value Sunday roasts for miles Update... DYNESHWARI steaks are amazing!! Excellent family pub, offering some brilliant deals and delicious fods. Firstly I'd like to thank SHAYE for her table service during our amazing festive fest meal and the head chef SIMON, both made sure it was a perfect evening secondly I'd like to thank the landlord PETER for a fantastic morning with breakfast with santa! Both occasions was truly memorable with unbelievable value! will definitely be looking out for future events and special menus! The general menu is very good and great value with some perfectly cooked steaks and great roasts! Thank you and well done guys! Dog friendly”

  “We had a wake here 2 weeks ago. Brilliant staff, really nice buffet food and a lovely space roped off from the rest of the pub to catch up with family and friends. It was great having the tea and coffee set up in the corner so people could help themselves. I have recommended them already to people and in fact they were recommended to me, Lovely team of people especially Toby who took our booking. He couldn’t have been more helpful. Highly recommend this pub even just for nipping in for a drink as it has a nice atmosphere.”

  “16th Jan 2026 and it's a very, very busy night in here. We arrived at about 5:30pm , car park was packed, so we deposited our car on the road outside, between 3 more cars. I have never seen it so busy in here. And, "hats off- to the staff" , every single one of them, was rushed off their feet. Yet still smiling and serving you professionally. Then, once again, we ordered food. Had a slightly longer than usual wait, but I'm good with that, as there was clearly over 100 people in here. Yet still, once again, the food was "out of this world". I know you won't find a more consistent restaurantanywhere near here. This place is "THE BEST AROUND". thanks, once again to all the team on this night. You smashed it.”

  “I don’t normally write a review but wow. Service is polite and welcoming Food we had was perfect and properly cooked and very tasty Something insignificant like the corn on the cob was like it was just took off the garden 10 minutes ago and tasted like sweetcorn should. My beef rib was so close to how I cook mine and the meat just fell off the bone. The hunters chicken was remarked to as the best they had had. With the added onions on top. Toby and Peter made us feel welcome. Highly recommended place to visit and eat.”

  “I recently visited Jolly Fenman, a pub that's quite unique in many ways. It’s a large venue with extensive outdoor space, including a garden, kids' zone, smoking area, and plenty of parking—features you don’t often find in pubs. The best part is their grills, which are fantastic, and the menu is vast, offering a wide variety of delicious options. I had a really great time, not just because of the food, but also because of the numerous gaming options available, like snooker and betting machines. Jolly Fenman truly offers something for everyone, making it a standout spot for a fun and enjoyable visit.”
