Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the beer selection, from cask ales in great condition and at the right temperature to craft beers, ciders and lagers, including Peckham Pills back on tap after a long absence. Close behind are the friendly, knowledgeable staff, the family running the place and a nice crowd of regulars. Several also mention a good choice of gins. Dogs are welcome, and a few note coffee and cakes served by day. The main drawback is space and noise. One reviewer calls the front area cramped, with a narrow passage leading to the back seating. Another had to stand outside for a while on a busy Thursday night, then found it noisy inside with two groups chatting loudly. One reviewer notes limited parking on the road and traffic wardens on scooters, even on a Sunday. Several reviewers comment that the inside has changed for the better and is now pretty swish. Outdoor space draws repeated praise, from a sun trap at the front and a heated seating area to the small beer garden out the back.

“An okay micropub, there is a good selection of ales. There are 3 "sections".The front area is a bit cramped. The second bit leads to a narrow passage way to a benched out seating area in the back, that's a bit more spacious & there's a couple of TV screens. This leads out to a pretty little beer garden. The crowd was a mixture of slighter older gents & male & female hipster/uni types. Customer services was polite & pleasant.”
