About Sitwell Arms
Sitwell Arms is a pub and restaurant on Pleasley Rd in Rotherham, serving real ales alongside homestyle cooking with a menu of 17 dishes, including Sunday Lunch and Sunday Roast. Seating extends into an outdoor garden for those who want to eat outside. A step-free entrance serves visitors with mobility needs, and free Wi-Fi is available throughout. Dogs are welcome inside. Customer Review Summary
Sunday roasts and private event bookings anchor most of what reviewers describe, with several recounting birthday parties, anniversary celebrations, and buffet functions that ran smoothly with staff praised as friendly and accommodating. Close behind, the food itself draws steady approval, from mini pies to lagers like the "hazy days" pint, though a few note the fare is standard chain-pub cooking and one reviewer's vegy mushroom Wellington came with a disappointingly small portion and just one tiny mushroom. The cosy atmosphere and sports screens on the TVs come up repeatedly, appealing to some and less so to others. One reviewer describes a distinctly poor experience, standing at the bar unacknowledged for around 15 minutes while only one barmaid worked the floor, before a chef stepped in to help get them served. Multiple reviewers mention returning after private events or family celebrations, with one describing a large table smoothly prepared for a father's 85th birthday with nine adults and a baby in tow.

“Nice pub in a big old building and a surprisingly cosy atmosphere. What spoilt it for me (but I'm sure a bonus for many) was all the screens showing different sporting fixtures. The food was standard chain-pub fare - lots of burgers etc. I had mini pies and loved them. The service was good - warm and friendly.”

“We celebrated a family birthday here on Sunday and we all had a great time. The food was good and came quickly despite us being a large group. We were well looked after and staff member Karen especially deserves high praise for all her hard work! I've also been in on a Saturday and it's always been lively with a good atmosphere.”

“15mins stood at bar waiting to be served or acknowledged even..1 woman barmaid rushing around . Man very angry looking floating from.1 bar to another. Bar we were at was left unattended..place outside was very busy. Eventually it was a chef who assisted in getting us servex served. The servers were nice the food ok. Xxx”

“Booked a private event and from start to finish received outstanding service. The buffet we ordered was amazing and there was so much food. The atmosphere on the night was so friendly and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. Big shout out to the DJ who got everyone up dancing and was fabulous throughout. Thank you to everyone for making a special evening, even more memorable.”

“Food came out in a reasonable time and both me and my partner were more than happy with our meals. The staff are always friendly and more than helpful. Love the range of lagers, hazy days is a wonderful pint. Lovely pub and will definitely be back again”
