  “Food was great value, came out quickly and was hot and tasty. Staff were friendly and welcoming, excellent service. We ate there as a large party with adults and children, we had 3 large tables and everyone was happy with the food and service. We stayed a while afterwards for drinks because the atmosphere was great, weather was good so we went outside and the kids played on the garden area. It was Sunday 23/08/2026 that we visited. Will definitely be back. Thank you to the staff for your excellent customer service and to the chefs for producing great dishes that came out quickly and with not one issue for over 30 people. Very happy customers”

  “My partner and myself went for dinner last Wednesday, I had rump steak and my partner had a chicken kebab, chicken wings and crispy chicken pieces combo, I asked for my steak to be medium, it was tough, My partners chicken pieces were inedible. To hard and with very little chicken in some of the portion. We go to the Ridgeway a couple of times a month and normally the food is excellent. I don't know why the food has gone down hill. I suggest that they pull up their socks or else they will be losing customers.”

  “Delicious hot food served quickly and efficiently. Thursdays are a bargain with big burgers being on the buy one get one free offer. We didn't need to book but it filled up fast so probably will next time”

  “We have on several occasions over that last 2 weeks thoroughly enjoyed the food at this pub. A shout out to Billy and Autumn for providing a great service, both members of the staff so helpful and friendly. Shout out also has to go to the kitchen staff, the food we chose was perfectly cooked, hot and delish. We will return. Thanks.”

  “Had something different than I usually order. Sweet chilli broccoli. Sounds weird but it was amazing! I was served by Kane @Ridgeway. Great guy great service. Highly recomended”

  “Went for mum in laws birthday, 3 x 8oz sirlion steaks with 4oz of fat. Couldn't cut through it with steak knife. When informed server she apologised and said "I'll pass it on". Nothing offered as a gratuity, we'd have gone away happy with a free dessert. Won't bother again when there are other Green King within 10 mins drive where we have always had good food.”

  “Very helpful service. Lovely lady who cleaned a specific table for me and changed the channel on the TV. We had a couple of burgers and both were excellent. Also had a cheeky fudge cake. Also excellent. Would definitely recommend for a cheap night out and a decent atmosphere.”

  “I came here on the 6th of February, Friday with my wife and two grandchildren. I sorry to say we were very dissappionted at the food we recieved and service provided. The garlic bread was rock hard and dried. Steak is not from grill. Absolutely awful and chewy. Taste like it comes from frying pan.. Waiter passed me a cast iron plate without warning me that the plate was red hot and I burnt my thumb. I did complain to the manager about this. And the manager did not apologise enough. The waiter who served us is not a professional. He should wear an "L" learner on his forehead.. I will not be returning here. No way.. And I will recommend to everyone..”

  “I visited here on 3rd feb and Had a cute little date 🥰 night Me and mi amoré / Best friend and carer. we really do enjoy coming to eat here as the food is delicious, ill add few pics of things weve had over time as returning customers. Most Staff was friendly and helpful with everything unfortunately though when we arrived we had called that morning and reserved a booth table for 8pm and some other people were at it when we got there for our booking time but staff soon sorted it out. My only critique would be, staff need to observe who's at the bar and the order they come in as we waited 10+ minutes as while we stood patiently 4 separate people came to the bar after us and got served before we did and then when they finally served me I told them I had a reservation for 8pm and when she realised someone was at it she proceeded to say cus of the table mix up too " you are 10 minutes late for your reservation" and I told her I wasn't late iv been here waiting to get served and to tell staff that we have arrived for our reservation. I will give the girl the benefit of the doubt as iv been a long time customer maybe she was having a bad/rough day or something as her attitude towards us as customers and just the huffing and puffing about was not necessary at all and made us feel like we was burdening her. I will be returning as I'm giving it the benefit of doubt, she's lucky we are regulars and not a new customer as they wouldn't have returned but as i have never had this problem before and I'm hoping to see a change in her behaviour/attitude but if she is the same next time, then I will directly speak to management and pass on her name. Leaving this review on a quick note - 1 star was lost on service because of the girl and the other star on food was lost because the hunters chicken meal is absolutely delicious but them chicken breast are absolutely tiny and not suitable for an adults meal, a childs maybe but not adults it literally takes about 2- 3 bites for 1 chicken breast, you should seriously consider changing up which ever wholesalers you get your chicken from. Thanks as always for all the delicious foods we've tried, next time I hope I can give you 5/5 on everything.”
