Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the friendly, attentive staff, and the food follows close behind, with several naming the Sunday roast, where one diner's family loved the pork belly and another had the sirloin. Another reviewer singled out fish and chips with fresh fish and freshly made tartar sauce. Coeliac diners repeatedly mention a good gluten free menu and feeling understood about it, and one found the pub while searching for gluten free options near a nearby country house. Tapas on the menu gets a mention too, and one reviewer calls the portions plentiful and hot. The setting draws praise as a pretty village pub with cozy fires, and two reviewers liked sitting upstairs on the mezzanine, where one found scrabble letters set out on the table. No recurring complaints appear in the reviews. One reviewer who stopped for lunch on a journey called the menu reasonably priced, and several say they plan to return.

“Amazing pub, food and staff with a good choice of beers etc, in fact an amazing country gem which we wouldn’t have found unless we’d asked AI to find us a pub near Wimpole Hall that had a good gluten free menu. Highly recommend and we will definitely be back when we are local again, actually trying to find an excuse to come back soon. We also loved the little touches when we arrived, seated upstairs in the very quaint mezzanine area and the table had scrabble letters set out … would also like to say a special thanks to our waitress from New Zealand , forgot her name, who was lovely. Try this place, you won’t be disappointed :)”
