Customer Review Summary

Most diners single out the food, repeatedly describing dishes such as the funghi aghlio, pork belly and the Biscoff cheesecake as delicious and authentic, while noting the generous portions that leave guests satisfied. Several reviewers also highlight the welcoming, friendly staff who create a relaxed, cozy atmosphere. One reviewer, however, reports an undercooked garlic bread and mushrooms smothered in tasteless cheese, calling the anniversary meal disappointing and the wine mediocre. A mishap with a spilled drink was quickly resolved when a server apologized and ensured the bill excluded the drinks. The restaurant’s prompt handling of a health incident also receives praise, with one guest thanking the team for their swift response. Overall, the combination of flavorful Italian fare and attentive service defines the experience.

I was surprised to read all the rave reviews. Garlic bread was a very undercooked pizza base. Similarly mushrooms were smothered in tasteless cheese .one main course was passable but sauce lacked depth and taste. The other looked like a plate of sloppy mixture. Certainly not the pancake we were expecting. The vegetables had either been recycled numerous times or left under a warming light so long that they'd lost the will to live. Very disappointing anniversary meal. We didn't stay for dessert. As it was , the majority were crossed out as unavailable! With a bottle of mediocre wine and 2 pre dinner drinks an absolute waste of £94. But fair play to everyone who gave it good reviews. Sadly not our experience.

Great service and food. Food was served piping hot. Portions were generous so I didn't have a pudding but they looked delicious. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely restaurant. Staff very friendly and welcoming, lovely atmosphere. We were a group of four and all of us had nothing but positive things to say about our meals. Portions are substantial and all the food was delicious.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
