Customer Review Summary
Fish and chips draw the most comment, and reviewers split sharply on them. Some praise excellent fish with chips and peas in good portions, while others describe thick, undercooked, floury batter, with one calling the fish stale and another reporting it swimming in grease. Chips are the steadier point, called nice and fresh by a few, though two reviewers received soggy, undercooked ones. The Chinese dishes draw the heaviest complaints: cold boiled rice stuck together when egg fried rice was ordered, stodgy fried rice, greasy noodles, and a bland Beef Cantonese with far too many onions, while a chicken curry was called ok. One reviewer says quality drops when the shop is busy, and another describes a crowded, loud room where new arrivals were served ahead of those waiting. Staff are called friendly and smiley by one reviewer and miserable by another. One reviewer without cash was handed their already wrapped chips and meat pie and told to pay next time, and the food tasted excellent.

“I've just popped and ordered chips and meat pie only to discover that it is cash only. I unfortunately didn't have any cash but instead of being turned away the very nice guy behind the counter handed me the already wrapped food and said I could pay next time I'm around. To say I was quite shocked is an understatement. And to top it off they tasted excellent 👍”

“Ordered Fried Rice, Chicken Curry and Chips Friday 5pm. Got boiled rice cold and all stuck together, soggy undercooked greasy cold chips. The curry was ok not much taste to it but better than the disgusting rice and chips. Almost £15 for a plate of poor quality food. Joke - poor quality and didnt manage to get the order right!!”

“What a shame. Orderd on the phone, asked for egg fried rice. Ended up with boiled rice cold and stuck togther with sloppy undercooked chips. Also very crowded loud and letting people that have just come in, go before the people that have been waiting. very dissapointed 😔”
