  “Popped in on Thursday night for the first time. We only ordered chips and they were lovely. Large portion, nice tasting potato, cooked fresh and not greasy! We will defo be back to try more stuff. Thanks”

  “We’ve had a range of Chinese meals and traditional chippy meals from here. They have all been lovely, and we keep returning. The chips are really well cooked and crispy but not overdone. The portion sizes are generous. Also, they have a lovely curly spider plant and Jade on display.”

  “First time I’ve used this place, asked for Chicken fried rice and for the chicken to be well done. They said yes no problem. Got it home, It was boiled and slimy!! Hadn’t even seen the inside of the frying pan ! The cost for that and some prawn toast was £14.80! Gave £15, cash only… didn’t get any change .. won’t be going there again .. worst Chinese dish I’ve had, over priced too!”

  “Always a good place to go to. Portions are ridiculously large but always taste good. If you ask for a chips they automatically give you large. Has gone quite pricey recently - omelette and fish and chips was £17. They only take cash which is a pain. Highly recommend.”

  “A great 'traditional' chippy. How? It is also a Chinese restaurant, but do not be put off as the fish and chips are excellent. Beautiful white soft fresh haddock and a light crispy batter. Chips are very good, too. Portions are ample and mushy peas very good.”

  “Ordered 3 meals. Fish and chips PERFECTLY COOKED, and not swimming in grease. Pie and chips, LOVELY. Steak pudding, mushy peas, chips with curry sauce, PERFECT. Its hard to get a decent steak pudding these days.. Large sausage for the dog. Very happy dog indeed. Price for all came to less than £20 for large portions. We will recommend this chippie, you have 3 very happy customers and 1 very happy dog as well. Thanks guys...”

  “Good food, decent service and at a fair price. Would've been a higher rating but a couple of things let them down. The only things they get marked down on are; Prawn toast - Ridiculously greasy, too much "toast" not enough "prawn". Tasted like fried bread with sesame seeds. Packaging - putting BBQ ribs in a polystyrene container and wrapping it in paper wasn't the greatest idea... Should really be in a sealable container. Got home to BBQ sauce EVERYWHERE. Special fried rice - MASSIVE serving but would've been happier with a smaller serving with more meat/seafood. Maybe some sauce on the side? Overall it was tasty, hot, well priced and we'll definitely order again.”

  “The actual best chips I've ever had at a chippy! Tried and tested over 10 times, hands down the best chips! The price is unbearably low. Please raise your prices and know your worth. I visit family here and come from the South where prices are higher, but your prices are so low that I feel like I'm cheating you. Your food is worth a lot more in quality. A bag of amazing chips fed four adults, and we do it all the time. The shop keeps up with the local friendly vibe and I just want to move next door to buy more food more often. Thanks guys, really appreciate the great chips. You need to try the chips 🍟”

  “Went here first time yesterday the fish was gorgeous the batter was crunchy, best fish I have had in a very long time the curry sauce was best I've had as well maybe even ever from a chippy, chips were lovely too. Only hitch is a bit expensive so deducted a star, saying that good quality. Will definitely be going again.”
