  “I went for lunch on a Monday. First time eating in The Fat Italian. The attention for getting a seat was first class, less than a minute. Followed by excellent servce. The menu was a good selection of Italian and English foods. the quality of food in my order was of high quality and cooked and served promptly. Overall this was a great restaurant. A second visit will will be happening soon, where i will report back on all things good and not so good.”

  “We have just had the most loveliest food at Fat Italian Burscough. We booked our table last minute on a Saturday night and the restaurant was full when we arrived but we was quickly found a table. The starters was delicious and the fillet steak was cooked to perfection. Fabulous choice on the menu too. And the staff could not of been nicer and friendlier. What a lovely place we can’t wait to return.”

  “A lovely meal in a lovely environment. The staff were welcoming and friendly. The service was very efficient and the food was delicious. The black pudding starter was superb and the salmon was very tasty. The pate starter and carbonara were good sized portions - both were great. Everything was clean and the restaurant has a wonderful atmosphere (toilets were very clean too)! I would highly recommend a visit.”

  “Came here after work with friends from work. Booked a table afew days before hand and had to pay £5 deposit each. Which then came off the price at the end for each of us There were about 11 of us, easy to order and food came out quickly, hot and very tasty! We went with the 2 dishes for £20 (starter and main) service was nice and place was clean and tidy. Would definitely recommend here and will be coming back! Lovely food and lovely service”

  “I've had the pleasure of eating here a few times now. The food has been consistently lovely - always hot, fresh and flavourful. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere with attentive and friendly staff. The lunch menu is excellent value for money too!”

  “First time eating here. We booked very late notice and they managed to juggle things about to fit us in. Fantastic experience, all food was delicious, good portion sizes and price. £80 for mains puddings and drinks incl alcohol for 2 adults 2 children. Left feeling very full. It was very busy but all staff appeared very polite and absolutely on task. Service was excellent. They also was very good with our two young children! Will definitely be eating here again.”

  “I had an amazing experience at Fat Italian on Valentine’s Day 2026. It was quite difficult to secure a reservation by phone, but after some persistence, I finally managed to book a table – and it was absolutely worth it! The restaurant was completely full, which already says a lot about its popularity. The atmosphere is fantastic: modern, clean, elegant, yet still warm and welcoming. I started with the appetizers, followed by the main course, and finished with dessert. Every single dish was a perfect 10/10 – flavors, presentation, and portion sizes were all outstanding. If you haven’t been here yet and you love authentic Italian cuisine with a touch of modern creativity, this place is definitely a must-visit! 🇮🇹✨”

  “Great food, great service, friendly team, good atmosphere. Plenty of choice, and wallet friendly menus, including happy hour and set menus. It was really busy when we visited on a Monday evening, so I would recommend you make a reservation. We will definitely return!”

  “We had an okay experience, but I wouldn’t personally recommend it. The food was very hit and miss. The salmon with asparagus was genuinely good and well cooked. Unfortunately, the pork dish was disappointing — it was mostly fat rather than meat. Dessert was also underwhelming. The tiramisu was like a cake rather than a traditional tiramisu served in a bowl. The restaurant itself was quite cold, so we had to keep our jackets on throughout the meal. Service was friendly, but a bit disorganised — the waiters were nice, though occasionally forgetful. The décor is quite stylised and a bit overdone, which may appeal to some but wasn’t really for us. The worst part of the experience was the arrival. We got there two minutes before 12:00 and the restaurant was still locked. A staff member came to unlock the door but didn’t actually open it or welcome us in. This felt particularly unfriendly and unwelcoming, especially as one of our party has difficulty walking. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not one I’d repeat.”

  “Absolutely amazing in every way. The food, the service and the staff were incredible. We had lunch which I strongly recommend to make sure you book well in advance as this was so busy. There’s a car park at the front and the rear so plenty of spaces. Complements to the chef!! Definitely will be returning soon”
