  “Really disappointing service today. We were left standing at the bar for around 15 minutes while several members of staff walked past us, including someone who appeared to be a manager. Not one person acknowledged us or even said, “I’ll be with you shortly.” Honestly, we should probably have left at that point. When we were eventually served, the cocktails tasted nothing like they should have. It is never particularly reassuring when a recipe sheet is needed for one of the most standard cocktails on a menu. We initially sat outside but the chairs were covered in cobwebs so when it became a bit cold we moved inside and asked for menus. We then waited another 15 minutes or so before receiving them, before ordering at the bar as it was clear table service was not happening (unsure whether that was correct or not). A member of staff later asked whether we wanted all of the food to come together and we said yes. The food itself was actually very good: hot, tasty, and a real credit to the kitchen. Unfortunately, the service completely let it down. Some of our food arrived but after eating around half of it we were still waiting 15–20 minutes for the rest. Nobody came over to check whether everything was okay or to explain the delay. By the time someone eventually asked to clear the table ready for the pizzas to arrive, we had completely lost patience. The whole experience felt chaotic from start to finish. What makes it more frustrating is that the food was genuinely good but the floor service badly let the kitchen down. The restaurant was busy but not full. We had no difficulty finding a table, nor did other customers coming in and there appeared to be plenty of staff around. I would strongly suggest reviewing how the service is being managed because today was really poor.”
