“Often come to Mark Bennett’s, normally to their Ashley cross branch but this time went to Penn Hill. Sad to say slightly underwhelming, minimum filling in my Sandwhich, quite literally a pinch of sauerkraut in the New York deli and a slither off beef/ham, unlike the other branches I visit which tend to put more filling. Still tasted good and all but for £6.50 not the best. Will make sure I use the Ashley cross branch always from now.”

“Excellent cake, pastries and coffee. Especially good was the strawberry tarts. What wasn't especially good was the service that we recieved, having arrived at 2.45 and being told they close at 3.30. Absolutely fine, we weren't going to be very long anyway but were still treated a bit like an inconvenience with curt service and plates being cleared away immediately after finishing food etc. Would I come back? Absolutely as the food is top tier and maybe won't get someone as grumpy next time”
