Customer Review Summary

Coffee draws the most praise, with reviewers calling the hand roasted, locally sourced coffee some of the best they have tasted and mentioning a caramel latte and a shroom brew. Food comes close behind. The South Coast Brunch with halloumi and a poached egg or bacon, overnight oats, breakfast sandwiches, vegan brunch dishes and sourdough all earn praise, as do the guacamole and chilli jam. One reviewer calls the bagel among the best they have had. Staff are described as friendly and kind, and a few call the pricing reasonable. The room is called lively, bright and relaxed, though two reviews say the plastic plants cheapen it. Other complaints are small and specific: a draught when the door opens, and brunch served in a bowl that was hard to cut. One visitor arrived about an hour before closing and was told bagels were only available cold, so stayed for coffee alone. One reviewer suggests adding a sauce choice like chilli jam or chipotle mayo to the BYOB.

“Great place! Super cute and such nice vibes. The coffee and bagel was delicious! Only suggestion would be to add a sauce choice on the BYOB (even for 50p extra) like chili jam, chipotle mayo etc :)”

“Breakfast options are amazing! Went here twice on our visit in Bournemouth and the staff were great and we absolutely loved the food. Overnight oats are a must if you like a hearty, oaty meal and the breakfast sandwiches are perfect for those looking for a more savory meal. Coffee was good and locally sourced with different options (including a shroom brew!) Staff was really nice and everything was reasonably priced. Absolutely 100% visit here when you get a chance as it doesn't disappoint.”

“One of the best coffee shops I've had the pleasure of visiting. Hand roasted coffee is one of the best I've tasted, fresh and presented the way I like. Customer service warm and friendly. Honourable mention to Lilly (The Portuguese lady) who made me feel very special (was hoping to see her today 😞) I walked to this shop in a heatwave. Was hot and sweaty (air con was decent) it was well worth the walk and will always come back when in Bournemouth 👌🏾”

“One day, I was charging my phone at a grocery store right next to a lovely coffee shop. I decided to sit on a chair outside to smoke, but I was feeling completely numb. I really needed my phone to charge so I could listen to music. Then, I heard someone whistling a Maroon 5 song. I managed to notice that the sound was coming from a truck right in front of me. I looked at the driver and told him, "You are artful and a true artist."Right after that, I started talking to a lovely woman named Natasha. I discovered that Natasha lives dynamically without needing a smartphone. But come on, Natasha! Without a smartphone, I wouldn't even be able to thank you and wish you a great future. The guy who initially grabbed our attention and sparked our conversation eventually drove away, but he will always stay in my mind as a very intelligent man.”
