Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the main draw, with cappuccinos and flat whites, often made with oat milk, described as excellent and delicious. One visitor was glad to find a cortado, and another loved the London fog. Cinnamon buns come close behind, including a maple custard one and a fruit one, and one reviewer calls them the best they have ever eaten. Almond and pistachio croissants and a hazelnut pain au chocolat also get praise, and staff coped with gluten free and lactose free diets. Service is called friendly and welcoming, even with one person working a busy bank holiday breakfast. The venue is small and shared with a hair salon, which two reviewers note, one adding it is not a big deal, while another found the oat flat white only nice enough. One visitor returned three days in a row, and a couple came back a few days after trying the hazelnut pain au chocolat.

“We ordered cappuccinos, and they were absolutely delicious. We also noticed that the café proudly displays many awards, which really speak to the quality of its coffee.”

“Excellent coffee, excellent humour, and excellent service. Would definitely go again—and I actually do every time I stay in Bournemouth. Also, they have the absolute best cinnabuns I have E-V-E-R eaten in my entire life, and if I would move to Bournemouth for them (careful, not on Mondays...).”

“An outstanding place in a sea of mediocre places. Great service. Wonderful pastries and best coffee in ages.”
- Laura J
“Lovely place for coffee and baked goods in central Bournemouth. Very nice owner. Vegan options include oat and almond milk and baked goods such as almond or pistachio croissants to name just a few. One of the few places in England where I found a Cortado as it doesn’t seem to be popular here (pictured is an oat cappuccino though). We came back three days in a row and would come back if we’d stayed longer.”

“Fika - Taking time out of your day to enjoy the little things in life, such as coffee and something sweet with friends. Hello, we are Fika, a small coffee shop with big heart. All are welcome, we have a relaxed and social vibe, many of our customers are daily regulars and local workers. Work with the best Baker in town to deliver some of the tastiest treats around. We have our own signature coffee roast which is something that took many years to craft, unique and truly delicious. Very dog friendly - if we're honest they'll probably get better customer service than you do. Dine in or take away, no worries we have you covered. - Our shop is small and we do get busy, but there's plenty of local spots to sit and enjoy a cheeky Fika.”
