Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the coffee, praising a smooth cappuccino, the vanilla bean, and the Malawi-sourced beans, with one buying a bag of whole beans and herbal tea to take home. Close behind are the bagels and toasties, including a cream cheese salmon bagel, a brie toastie with a side salad and lemon, and an avocado toast that came as asked. Cakes also draw mentions, such as an orange and vanilla sponge and a pistachio croissant, and one reviewer had a second lemon and ginger tea. Friendly, efficient service comes up repeatedly. The main caveat is limited seating, with few tables, and one reviewer found the smashed avocado bagel untoasted and the topping plain and unseasoned for the price, while the table wobbled until napkins were wedged under it. Several mention the cozy feel, and one describes a vanilla iced latte as good despite the disappointing food.

“Interesting coffee shop with coffee from Malawi. Friendly staff offering a range of savoury and sweet options. They also offer gluten free and lactose free options. Not a lot of tables, so limited space.”

“Came here for breakfast with a friend whilst visiting Bournemouth. Thought the cafe looked beautiful and loved the ethical essence of the work they do with Malawi. I ordered a vanilla iced latte with the smashed avocado on a bagel. The coffee was good but was disappointed by the food. The bagel felt raw and like it hadn’t been toasted, the avocado topping felt plain and unseasoned and not fresh which didn’t reflect the higher price either. Also the table was quite wobbly which we rectified with a couple of napkins underneath. Lots of potential at this cafe so hopefully this helps!”
