Customer Review Summary

Burgers draw the most mentions: one pair enjoyed the bacon cheese smashburger as tasty, hot and full of good flavours, and another party said their burgers arrived promptly and nice and hot. Close behind is the gluten-free breakfast, where one reviewer praised the bacon and sausage butty, hash browns, chorizo and gluten-free toast with butter and jam. Others single out tapas of a bao bun, duck in a Chinese pancake and Korean prawns, along with perfectly crunchy sweet potato chips. Staff are repeatedly described as friendly and welcoming, and one regular calls the food great value. Complaints centre on comfort and consistency. One party sat upstairs in their coats because of the air conditioning, though another welcomed it on a hot day. Online ordering took several attempts because of unreliable internet, a first-choice soup had sold out, and one reviewer found the food not as good as at other lounges and the staff bossy and petty. Two staff gave the same reply when asked to turn the air conditioning off: the kitchen gets too hot.

“We only went in for a drink but considering the lack of cleanliness in the public area I certainly wouldn't want to eat there. There was food and old napkins on the floor when we arrived and they were still on the floor when we left 40 minutes later. I noticed servers remove sauce bottles from tables when guests left but the tables weren't cleaned. I've been to several "Lounges" across the country and they've all been lovely but I wouldn't recommend this one.”

“On seeing this venue for the first time walking up to it, our impression of the place was not good due to the awful mess of the outside seating area! The interior was lovely as the lounges usually area. We did choose to sit outside as there weren't any tables free inside that were close enough to the window space for fresh air, but in my opinion the staff could easily have swept the outside that was full of rubbish on the ground & the chairs could easily have been more tidy & tables should have been wiped down! My friend and I both had the bacon cheese smashburger, it was very tasty, lots of good flavours, was hot & and we both enjoyed it very much.”

“We only wanted a light lunch and decided to order 3 tapas to share. With a side of sweet potato chips ( which btw were absolutely amazing and perfectly crunchy ) it was enough to fill our belly before we had to go shopping. Tapas we had was a bao bun, duck in a chinese pancake and Korean prawns and they even made the effort to remove the digestive tract. All 3 were delicious and seasond just perfect. The waitress was very polite and friendly and we love a smile which came with the service. On a very hot day like today 35° in Poole, we welcomed the aircon upstairs. Thank you to the staff, keep up the good work 👏 We're come back soon, Inge & Clive xx 😊 😋”

“Visited whilst on holiday. Pleasant and friendly staff and good service. Four stars only for food as my first choice of soup that I'd hoped to have was sold out but what we had was very nice.”
