  “Amazing friendly staff, pretty place, the food is affordable and tasty! We had a Light breakfast, a large Buddha Bowl (vegan), Tomatoes on toast! It was delicious! I’d thoroughly recommend this place! I also had to ask for the music playlist as it was so bright and inviting! One thing I’d recommend is if they could have more staff available to take your order, but it’s a Tuesday so I understand a slower pace of reception!”

  “I approached Limekiln with optimism. The breakfast was genuinely good, the ingredients felt fresh, and the super green juice had me briefly believing I might achieve enlightenment, cleanse my chakras, and finally answer all of life’s unanswered questions before 10am. Credit where it’s due: the food was excellent and the juice was genuinely impressive. But then came the coffee. Specifically, the flat white. Specifically, the vessel in which the flat white was served. A cup with no handle. Now, I appreciate that we live in an age of culinary innovation. I accept that avocados can be smashed, burgers can be deconstructed, and menus can describe eggs using more adjectives than Shakespeare used to describe love. But there are some boundaries that civilisation established for a reason. A coffee cup should have a handle. This is not a controversial position. It is not an extreme political view. It is one of the foundational principles upon which modern society rests. Instead, I was presented with a small ceramic bowl masquerading as a coffee cup. The coffee itself was good, but drinking it required a series of risk assessments more commonly associated with handling radioactive materials. Every sip involved negotiating the surface temperature directly with my fingertips, as though I were participating in some artisanal endurance challenge. Who decided this? Why was this decision made? At what point did somebody look at a perfectly functional handled cup and think, “No. The public deserves less grip”? I appreciate that many people will consider this a trivial concern. Those people are wrong. The breakfast was lovely. The juice was excellent. The staff were friendly. But somewhere in the supply chain, somebody has declared war on handles, and I feel a civic duty to report it. For the sake of future generations, please give the flat whites their handles back.”

  “We had my best friends baby shower here 13th June in their room upstairs, and I can’t praise them highly enough the room was the absolute perfect size for what we needed and they let us decorate it how we wanted, staff were super attentive even though we were upstairs and they were running everything downstairs which was super busy! and the food was absolutely incredible, we had afternoon teas, every single part of the afternoon tea was so so fresh and the selection was amazing, everybody commented on how amazing the food was, there was more than enough food and they bought up us plenty boxes for everyone to take home. I’ll definitely be recommending to everyone.”
