About Nine Lives
Evening service at Nine Lives brings sourdough pizzas to the table, cut with large scissors so a group can share without fuss. The cafe and coffee shop sits at Unit 3 in Oldham, with seating upstairs and a few places outside for outdoor dining in good weather. Coffee comes from Darkwoods, including the Crowtree blend, and cakes and pastries sit alongside it, the pastel de nata among them. Breakfast covers plates such as bacon sandwiches and pancakes with fruit. The kitchen will take off-menu requests and topping changes, including for young children, and high chairs are on hand for families with little ones. Dogs are welcome in the cafe. Booking ahead is advised. Orders can also be collected or delivered for eating off site, and the doors stay shut on Mondays.

Customer Review Summary
The evening pizzas draw the most attention, described as sourdough with a perfect base and a good selection, with several reviewers delighted by the large scissors used to cut them, one noting it made serving a small child easy. Close behind is the coffee, called the best in the area by one visitor and identified by two as a Darkwoods blend, the Crowtree in one case. Beyond that, reviewers single out the chocolate cake, the pastel de natas, a weekend bacon sandwich and a stack of pancakes with fruit. Willingness to go off menu comes up more than once, from an extra topping added without fuss to something prepared for a one year old. The upstairs seating is called comfortable and chilled, and outdoor tables get a mention in good weather. Dog owners note the welcome, including one who describes staff giving a nervous dog in training space rather than crowding her.

“After a couple of years of finding it's feet, Blackbird is now a reliable asset to the Saddleworth community. Serving great food and coffee, it's dog friendly with really great staff and a nice atmosphere. I've not even mentioned the pizzas they serve up in the evenings...wow! Definitely worth a visit.”

“This new venture has taken off well pleasant upstairs seating and good decor .Pizzas are sourdough and there is a good selection. If you only want a coffee and a cake they have plenty to choose from and if the weather is kind you can sit outside. Worth a visit.”

How this listing is sourced
- Where the data comes from
- Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
- How it stays current
- Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
- How it is ranked
- Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
