About Crumbles at Delph
Crumbles at Delph, a cafe on King St in Oldham, sits behind the front of an arts and crafts shop, with an art gallery on the lower floor and a village setting around it. The room runs deeper than the frontage suggests, with further seating upstairs and a vintage, retro look to the fittings. Breakfast anchors the menu, with large, veggie and vegan versions, while lunch brings a croque-monsieur served with a side salad. A counter display holds cakes and pastries, some of them homemade, and the drinks list stretches from pots of tea to turmeric lattes. Dogs come inside with their owners, high chairs suit families with young children, and a step-free entrance helps visitors with mobility needs. Tables outside give the option of eating in the open air. Booking ahead is recommended, since it gets busy at peak times. Service runs Tuesday to Sunday during the daytime, with Mondays closed.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is what brings most reviewers through the door, whether the veggie version described as great and super filling, a vegan breakfast, or the large breakfast that couples and walkers order after abandoned plans in bad weather. Cakes and pastries run a close second, with several noting a varied selection and some they believed were homemade. Also praised are the weekly changing specials, one regular listing Asian fusion and meatball subs among them, plus a croque monsieur, Thai sweet potato soup, spinach and mushroom toast, porridge, a well balanced turmeric latte and milkshakes. Many describe the building as deceptive from outside, an arts and crafts shop at the front with an art gallery downstairs and a warm, vintage feeling room above. Complaints are few: one diner found the hummus and roasted veg toastie disappointing and couldn't taste the hummus, and another says service can slow when busy. One party mentions booking in advance, and one passes on a tip that the toast arrives pre buttered.

“Had a lovely breakfast brunch, service was good, the quaint rustic cafe is fitting for the village feel. Just a tip - the toast comes pre-buttered.”

“Love the decor, very charming place, it's bigger than you think from the outside. We had nice coffees and pastries. They had a varied selection of cakes and pastries to choose from including some that I think were homemade, which is a plus in my opinion. We didn't have anything savoury but there were breakfast and lunch options. The lady on the counter was very helpful and friendly”
