“Wouldn’t normally do this but just had the worse experience at Kings Arms. Called in as we often do about 5pm for the early bird menu , got a table straight away , quite a few tables empty actually, went to get a drink and menu, 5 of us in total, and we were told they not serving food for about 20 mins coz they were busy. We were fine with that, went back to order our food at said time and then told now it was gonna be 6pm. At which point the early bird menu finished. We asked to speak to the manager , told she was working in the kitchen so couldn’t come out, said if we had known it was gonna be 6pm, they should have said and we would have happily left and gone somewhere else but now we ordered drinks and actually they couldnt guarantee what time food was starting in the bar again. They also said they wouldn’t honour the early bird price, didn’t offer us refund on our drinks and we were then told we should have booked 🤬. Erm they take walk ins🤣! Had they just been honest in the first place we wouldn’t have stayed , or had issue. Honestly treated so bad , won’t be going again #rude #shitservice”

“The food was great, especially for a local pub. Unfortunately, the service let the experience down. It felt rushed, and the staff didn't really take the time to listen or make us feel looked after. The waitresses came across as though they didn't want to be bothered, which made the interaction feel a little rude and unwelcoming. A more attentive and friendly approach would have made a big difference.”
