  “The picture doesn't do this justice. But the burger was fantastic. It's was dripping with juice. Everyone else on my table had the chips and I would recommend. They were like roast potatoes. I came here as a birthday treat. It was my first time visiting. Definitely won't be my last.”

  “Fantastic food, and great service. Staying in a B&B just up the road and my family have been here every night this week and are coming back tomorrow. My son insisted I say how good the pulled pork burger is (and it is!) but the Thai Green curry, suet pudding and beef stroganoff are all excellent too!”

  “What a fantastic find! We visited here on Father’s Day and it was fairly busy but the staff were so lovely even if they were really busy. The food was amazing - we had roast beef, gammon, cheese and onion pie and a kids meal, all of which were very generously portioned and the waitress even brought us some extra veg. We all had a dessert after, which perhaps wasn’t needed but we absolutely didn’t regret. The ginger sponge pudding and biscoff cheesecake were excellent. The outside kids play area was really good and our son wanted to be on it every second he wasn’t eating! There are great views of Manchester from the outside area too. Overall would absolutely come back here to try something else on the menu. My MIL has already said we’re going back for her birthday!”

  “Had my 70th birthday meal here. The staff were lovely and very efficient. Food was great really tasty and presented well. We were all full up and praising each others choices. As an added bonus there was a play area on the bottom field which the kids loved playing on. Definatly value for money . Would recommend it to any one wanting a great meal .”

  “First time visiting The Roebuck Inn, but it certainly won’t be the last. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, with attentive staff, delicious hearty food, and great views. My wife and I decided to share the king prawn starter, and we were glad we did. The portions were generous without any compromise on quality—the prawns were jumbo, juicy, and perfectly paired with garlic and chilli. A classic dish done properly. The mains did not disappoint either. The lamb was tender, rich, and beautifully presented. The sirloin steak was cooked perfectly to medium-rare and complemented by battered onion rings and homemade chunky chips. While the chips lacked a bit of outer crunch, this was more than made up for by the crispiness of the onion rings. Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were all exceptional. The only minor area for improvement would be a slightly stronger depth of staff knowledge about the menu.”

  “Came here for the first time for my dads 60th birthday meal on Sunday, there was 12 of us and the service couldn’t have been faulted, so friendly and attentive and every single person commented on how lovely the food was! With it being a Sunday it was 3 courses for £28 and the food was absolutely amazing value for money and gorgeous! This is now are new go to local for sure! Thankyou”

  “Very disappointed with everything 👎🏼 we looked at the reviews before going, it said that they’re very welcoming, I think that maybe family and friends may have written these reviews. We waited a few minutes to be taken to our table but the gentleman behind the bar just pointed to the back room and told us that it was the table near the window, there was no one being served at the bar so he definitely wasn’t busy. We ordered the roast , unbelievable, on the plate was a small portion of mash but couldn’t see it as the sliced Beef was put on top of it, we got three roast potatoes that were quite hard only one of us got a Yorkshire pudding ( I believe that it was nice though ) That was all that was on the plate, we were given a small bowl that was to be shared between the three of us it consisted of one small piece of Cauliflower a small piece of Broccoli, peas and a few small thin slices of a carrot my friend got the Cauliflower, the other got the Broccoli and we managed to get a couple of spoons of the mixture of peas and sliced carrots. We did ask for a boat of Gravy which they forgot about so we had to ask for that. , the young man that served us seemed quite miserable and it all seemed like a big effort to serve us. There was another person, a lady, blond hair in a pony tail was so unwelcoming, no smiles, no Hello just asked us what we wanted to drink she brought the drinks I asked her for some straws she walked off without saying a word brought a cup with straws in put it on the table without a word and walked away, she came back moments later grabbed the cup with the straws and off she went again without a smile or a word. We’ve never felt so uncomfortable as we did on that day, even when we were leaving we said thank you and goodbye Nothing back from her. The place itself is fairly nice and the views are beautiful. But Sadly, We definitely will not be going back, we travelled for 35 mins to get there, we are always on the look out for new places, we’ve found a few Gems and we go back time and again. But unfortunately we will Not be going back to This Place. 👎🏼👎🏼”

  “I went with my daughter and mum for a Christmas meal. We warmed ourselves by the hearth and the friendly nature of the staff. It was a peaceful place to while away the time having a good catchup. The courses were punctuated with appropriate time games so we didn't feel rushed.”
