About The Airway's Diner
The Airway's Diner is a cafe and restaurant on Spitfire Rd in Norwich, set on one of the city's oldest industrial estates. On-site parking has room for larger vehicles, including a coach, which suits groups arriving together. The menu runs from a numbered traditional breakfast, served with toast instead of fried bread and a hot chocolate, to a cheeseburger with optional onions and fresh salad. The dining room holds plenty of tables, and a step-free, wheelchair-accessible entrance serves visitors with mobility needs. Outdoor seating is available for those who prefer to eat outside. There is no booking system, so seating is on a walk-in basis. The diner opens Monday to Saturday and closes on Sundays. Chris, the owner, runs the diner with an assistant.

Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the draw at this old school style cafe, and reviewers return for it again and again. One diner praises a traditional breakfast with toast instead of fried bread and a hard-fried egg, another singles out bacon cooked perfectly and mushrooms not too greasy, and the tea and a hot chocolate also get a mention. Close behind is the welcome, with the owner and staff repeatedly described as friendly, kind and cheerful, and the service as quick. Lunch earns a nod too, with one reviewer describing a big cheeseburger with optional onions and fresh salad. Diners call the place clean, warm and quiet, with loads of tables, and several mention reasonable prices and easy parking, including one who parked a coach with no trouble. Two reviewers describe a monthly breakfast habit, one with a daughter and one with a father, and one travels in from near Harleston rather than eat anywhere else.

“My daughter meet up and once a month and The Airways Diner is where we head to first. We have tried other establishments in the past but once we sampled this place that was it. This is now our regular breakfast place. The food is excellent and even though it is only monthly we wouldn't go anywhere else. I even travel from near Harleston to go there. Every thing is right from the ease of parking to the friendliness of the people who run it. I can't recommend it highly enough. Don't just take my word for it try it for yourself.”
