Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return for big, cheap cooked breakfasts, with the bacon roll and bacon and egg sandwich singled out as tasty, and one diner praising a scrambled egg, sausage, beans, hash brown and toast plate as gorgeous. The banger and mash earns close praise for tender mash with gravy soaked in and sausage meat described as "to die for", though one reviewer found the sausage skins a little chewy. Close behind is speed, with food arriving within about ten minutes in several accounts, and staff described as friendly, happy and helpful. Reviewers frame the place as an unpretentious, no-nonsense caff. The caveats are cleanliness, with one diner saying it could do with a deep clean, and a takeaway complaint from a delivery customer who found the fried bread soaked, the toast not crunchy and the bacon too salty. Several mention that parking is scarce near Anglia Square, and one reviewer noted frequent Just Eat pickups during a short visit.

“Food was good for the price the chap behind the counter was friendly and helpful. Went for breakfast here food was not stunning but was a very good price so cant argue there, only draw back is it was not the cleanest place and could do with a good deep clean that's the only reason it did not get 5 Stars.”

“I decided to try a traditional English breakfast at this café that I used to frequent several years ago. What I appreciate about this conveniently located café is that it’s not trying to be something it clearly isn't—a fine dining establishment! If you are someone who is very particular about hygiene, décor, furnishings, and the presentation of your food, you might be better off looking further up the road. This is what I call a no-nonsense cafe, you get what you pay for and nothing else. That being said, aside from the fried bread that I do not usually eat, I happily devoured my meal, which, along with a mug of tea, cost £9.30. The staff member taking my order was both professional and friendly, and during the short time I was there, I noticed several Just Eat pickups, during my short visit, suggesting they have a popular takeaway service. If you're driving, keep in mind the parking costs; there are very few free spaces available. However, there are several reasonably priced car parks nearby, with rates starting around £1.60 per hour or £6.50 for the day.”

“We Have ordered breakfast for takeaway. The food was awful. Soaked fried bread and tosts very not crunchy. Bacon was too salty. Terrible food. We paid £30 for two breakfast delivered to our home and that was not worthy at all. Do not recommend”

“I've been here several times and always had a great experience. I came here on Tuesday and had the Banger And Mash option which was superb. The mash was lovely and tender with the gravy soaked into the mash which is how it's supposed to be done so kudos. The onion and mixed veg were a great compliment to the sausages and mash. The sausages were great although i did find the outer shell to be a little bit chewy but the inside meat was to die for. I was also served within 10 mins of entering the cafe which i cannot praise enough for the speedy service. Highly recommend if anyone is in the Anglia Square area”
