Customer Review Summary

The full English breakfast draws the most repeated praise, described as fried bread, black pudding optional for a quid, and plates delivered hot and fast to tables full of regulars fuelling up for work. Close behind, diners point to value, with one reviewer citing a mega breakfast for £5.90 and another paying £10.50 for a sausage and onion pie with mash and vegetables, though that same reviewer noted the pie portion ran smaller than expected and missed their usual gravy. The veggie breakfast also gets a mention, compared by one diner to home cooking, though they noted limited other vegetarian choices. Roast dinners and daily crumble or pie specials come up too. Staff across multiple reviews are called helpful, chatty, and polite without being overbearing, and the space itself is repeatedly likened to an old school greasy spoon cafe, clean rather than greasy. One visitor even managed to find street parking right outside on a return trip after previously finding it tricky at peak times.

“I really enjoyed the food here, as did the wife. It was also good value, and the staff were polite and friendly. If we are ever back in Norwich, we will be going to Dixie's again.”

“Well, what a find this was! It's got that greasy spoon old school cafe vibe from days gone by, but clean and without the grease! Staff are helpful and chatty but not in your face. And the prices were amazing! Highly recommend a visit. Open at 7am on a Saturday too! Hats off to this cafe.”
  • Naedeane Browne
“First visit and we loved it! Beautiful roast dinner, friendly environment and great value 😊”

“This is as traditional British Breakfast as it gets! They say an army marches on its stomach, and stepping into Dixies early on a Thursday morning you get the sense that something is mobilising. There's a bustle, there's an energy. There's excitement and positivity. Quiet energy in abundance and jokes zinging about keeping spirits high. But this is no military on mnaueveres, but the industrious men and women of Norfolk on their way to work and finding their fuel. The full English takes centre stage here and you can tall people smash it away knowing they aren't eating again until they get home after a hard day's graft. Coffee and tea are sluiced down with smiles and plate after plate of food is delivered hot to each table. It's fast, it's friendly and it's everything the full English should be. No frills, no fuss, just full English - Forever!”
