Reviewers most often praise the food, singling out the fries with vegan garlic sauce, the Portuguese tart, small plates to share, and the gooseberry and elderflower ice cream. Several describe it as fresh, tasty and "well thought out", not the usual brunch options, with daily specials, local ingredients, and gluten free and vegan choices. Close behind is the staff, described as friendly, helpful and happy to cater for dietary needs. One group were offered tea or coffee before the kitchen had officially opened. Diners also mention water brought to the table with ice and lime, and a few say they came back for a second or later visit.

“We had a really lovely lunch. Our first time, but we will be back. The food was super fresh and so good, we eat outside which had a peaceful atmospher as we watched the world walk by as we chatted. The staff were freindly and checked we were ok. Would definitely recommend.”

“Quirky, fun and cosy restaurant. This is my 2nd time visiting and still, worth the visit. It has such a welcoming ambience and the food is to die for! Your taste buds will certainly come to life here! All freshly cooked. Compliments to the chef indeed. Staff are friendly, observant and happy to cater for your dietary needs. We will be back again very soon! Thank you!”

“We had lunch at The Bicycle Shop on a recommendation from our friends. The experience from start to finish was delightful. We loved the quirky interior, with sun streaming through the windows from our upstairs table. Our servers Jaden and Char were lovely and friendly. The food was amazing- we had assorted small plates to share along with a lovely glass of French rose. We can't wait to come back! Highly recommend it (especially the local gooseberry and elderflower ice cream).”
