Customer Review Summary
Breakfast is the draw, and reviewers go into detail on the plates: a full breakfast with proper bacon, meaty sausages, black pudding and bubble and squeak, eggs benedict with crispy bacon, and toasted sourdough that three diners at one table agreed made the meal. Close behind are the Korean beef brisket stack with crispy truffle hash browns, the breakfast bun with bacon jam, French toast, and a shakshuka that one regular says never looks or tastes the same twice. Several single out the gluten free options, and one says the kitchen takes allergies seriously. Coffee, including a dirty chai made with almond milk, earns good marks, and reviewers describe friendly staff, a lovely atmosphere and a spotlessly clean room. A couple call it a bit expensive, and one finds the Korean pancakes heavy. One reviewer, who felt unwelcome at the counter, reports finding an insect in a pancake, and the dish was removed from the bill once it was raised.

“I had a pretty awful experience there. I went there as I saw it is a popular breakfast restaurant. There is a girl with a blonde hair is not that friendly. I can see her don’t even want to talk to me. I need to ask few times what should I do ? Should I order at the counter or should I sit down first. I don’t feel welcomed and comfortable. I hope it is because I am too sensitive. Luckily, the girl with brown girl and glasses taking order politely. I felt better after I sat down. I have ordered the pancake and a latte. I think the latte is amusing but the pancake is quite sweet. Sadly, I found that the an insect inside the pancake 😰😰😰I think it is a big mosquito? I feel terrible. I told that lovely lady that is a fly in the pancake when I checked the bill. They had void my pancake thankfully. I hope next time the chef will check the pancake thoroughly when they cook. Hope it won’t happen again…”

“Best breakfast I've ever had. End of post. But seriously, I've never had French Toast before (I know, I know), and this was just incredible. I can't stop thinking about it. Coffee was also really good.”

“If you are looking for the ultimate breakfast spot in Norwich, No. 33 Café on Exchange Street is an absolute must-visit. We dropped in for brunch and every single dish that came out of the kitchen was spectacular. Our table ordered a brilliant mix of plates: 1. The Benedicts: (Pictured!) Perfectly poached eggs, crispy bacon, and vibrant sautéed spinach smothered in a rich, flawless hollandaise. 2. Mediterranean Toast: Bursting with fresh flavours from the olive tapenade, creamy avocado, feta, and pomegranate seeds. 3. No33 Breakfast Bun: A massive, towering masterpiece loaded with a homemade veggie sausage patty, cheese, bacon jam, hash browns, and chipotle mayo. 4. Bacon Ciabatta: Classic, generous, and made even better by adding a crispy hash brown. The absolute standout of the meal, hands down, was the toasted sourdough. All three of us who had it agreed that it completely made the breakfast. It had the perfect chew, a beautiful crust, and held up brilliantly against all the heavy toppings. Incredible food, fantastic portions, and great service. We will definitely be back!”
