Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often praise the food and prices at this former post office, with big portions and low costs repeatedly mentioned. Diners name a gourmet steak, fish and chips, a sirloin steak and mixed grill, brownies, a passion fruit cooler and a haggis meal, and several call the staff friendly. A few single out the historic building as lovely, and one mentions free parking at the rear. The complaints are about service and upkeep. One reviewer waited a long while for three soft drinks ordered through the app, found tables covered in empty plates, and called the interior unfinished. Another was told at the bar that a smaller menu was on because the kitchen was too hot. Their small pizza was tasteless, the nachos had no visible cheese, and the fruit and ice cream dessert was mostly blueberries because other fruit had run out.

“Great place to meet people, food is really good, big portions and tiny prices. Has it's own car park at rear accessed on Meadow Street, enter car reg on iPad near toilets and you'll get 3 hours free”

“We spent a while choosing from menu to be then told as we approached Bar to order that there was a smaller different menu on as the kitchen was too hot?! Finally chose different options and it took a while to come in spite of not being overbusy. My small pizza was absolutely tasteless and my friend couldn't find the cheese in amongst the nachos. My other friend had opted for fruit and ice cream as could find nothing fanciable on reduced menu. Turns out they had run out of fruits and she ended up with mainly blueberries. Luckily she liked blueberries.”
