Customer Review Summary
Sunday roast is what reviewers return to most, with diners calling it their favourite or one of the best they've had locally. One group tried the beef, lamb, turkey and pork belly roasts and could not fault them, and another praised portions so generous they didn't need to ask for more gravy. Close behind are the Griffin burger, fillet steak and home cooked chips, plus a chicken Kiev with onion rings one diner called the best they had ever eaten. Desserts get named too, including the sticky date pudding, lemon posset and peanut butter delice. Reviewers describe a warm welcome, friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere, and say the kitchen handled various dietary requirements for a group of twelve. No recurring complaint appears, and the one lukewarm note is a short visit that left a reviewer unable to judge the food. One party celebrating an 80th birthday was brought out a birthday cake and sent home with a bottle of Prosecco.

“Twelve of us (and a dog!) had Sunday lunch here whilst on a family weekend away in Hardwick. Mark was very communicative in the booking process. Everyone was very friendly on the day and there was a lovely atmosphere in the whole pub. All the food was excellent and they were very accommodating of various dietary requirements. Would highly recommend!”
