About Ock n Dough
Ock n Dough is a Hungry Horse pub at 14-16 Farm Rd on the outskirts of Wellingborough, open daily. The kitchen serves pies, fish and chips and a Sunday roast, and a pub breakfast is on the menu too. Waitstaff bring orders to the table, and a bar runs alongside with cocktails and mocktails. Deals run on weekdays. The pub shows football matches through Sky Sports and TNT Sports, so it works for a match day with friends. Large groups can sit together, and each person in the party can order and pay separately. Allergens are noted when you order.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly table service is what reviewers raise most, with one server in particular described repeatedly as friendly, knowledgeable and smiling even when the pub was busy. Food is praised as hot, tasty and quick, including for a big family celebration of a 90th birthday where everyone ordered and paid separately. Groups are a recurring theme, with parties of seven and eighteen accommodated, one on a last minute decision, and a server who made sure allergens were clearly noted. Close behind, diners mention a busy atmosphere where they could still talk without raising their voices, good prices, cocktails and mocktails, and weekday deals, while one calls it a good place to watch a football match. One party was told by phone beforehand that broken equipment meant a limited menu, and found there was still plenty of choice. Another reviewer describes staff staying polite through a heat wave, with a server recommending a favourite dessert and a bartender happily amending a meal order.

“We visited the Oak and Dough and had a great experience. Our waitress Hayley looked after us throughout the evening and was excellent from start to finish. She was friendly, attentive and made sure everything was spot on without being overbearing. The food and service were great and I will certainly be coming again. Thanks Hayley for a great evening!”

“Pub was very busy when we arrived. We were served by Hayley who was friendly and knowledgeable, although busy Hayley always gave customers a smile. Liam thank you for the food it was very good We visited the pub on the 13th June. We had received a phone call prior to our table booking to say that it was a limited menu due to some equipment breaking. This wasn't a problem as there was still plenty of choice. Food all well cooked. Served by Hayley who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable 5 *.”

“The Ock n Dough is perfect if you're in Wellingborough and looking for a family pub. Lying on the outskirts of town, our Hungry Horse pub looks forward to welcoming you along. We serve all the pub favourites you'd hope to see on our food menu, including burgers, pies, and fish and chips. We do a mean pub Sunday roast, while we've also got you covered if you're looking for a pub breakfast near me. Fancy a sweet treat? Don't miss our puddings, or our pub deals if you want to score a great saving. Speaking of scoring, did you know that we're a friendly sports pub with Sky Sports and TNT Sports? Our beer garden is the place to be on those sunnier days for drinks with friends. With free Wi-Fi and disabled facilities, we ensure all are welcome.”
