  “Such a disappointing visit today. Came with our young kids (3 and 5) for a pay day treat. No warning of any delays when we ordered our food but we were still waiting after 45 minutes! This is despite being told ‘5 more mins’ a couple of times when we queried the long wait. Eventually they agreed to rush the kids meals out as they were just desperately hungry however, they brought the wrong order! They brought medium spiced chicken which is way too spicy for young kids and for some reason the chicken was completely cold. At this point we had to give up and request a refund, our poor kids were in tears. A family treat totally ruined and a waste of an hours parking. I suggested they might like to let people know when they’re experiencing such delays as we would have never ordered if we were made aware. Even the refund took a further 10 mins! Many others were left in same position today, it was not just us. They had likely taken way more orders than they could handle and someone mentioned being short staffed. That’s fair enough, but at least warn people so they can choose to go elsewhere from the get go if needed. They seemed to have attempted to take my advice as I heard them telling someone at the door ‘there may be a 20 min delay on food’, but even that is way off and just not fair on customers when they know it’s way longer than that. I would be really hesitant to go back to this Nandos after this experience as doesn’t seem to be a well managed place.”

  “The food is always good and all the staff are great. The restaurant and it's facilities are always spotless. It's the only place I eat out as the staff are all knowledgeable about Coeliac Disease and cross contamination. I go regularly to nandos and have never been glutened. X”

  “Food is good with delicious piri piri chicken! But one waitress is chewing gum looking like a cow and this is very unapatizing. It's a chicken restaurant, NOT a beef restaurant, and even in a beef restaurant it's not polite to chew gum in front of or near guests. Loose the chewing gum or the waitress! Normally one of the first things you learn learning and working in hospitality is you learn NOT to chew gum in front of or near guests. Just because it's untastefull, unpolite, not welcoming, and not guest friendly. Speaking to the manager about this he was just very sensitive about the fact I said the waitress looks like a cow chewing het gum. Probably a manager with not much education in hospitality and probably not a person who had heard of the phrase that a person looks like a cow when this person chews gum. For him perhaps it was better to get angry with the waitress instead of me... I have been to many Nando's before and service everywhere was better than at this one. But again, The Food is good with delicious piri piri chicken!”

  “The restaurant is upstairs, two steps need maintenance. A big lamp hugging from the ceiling is very beautiful but a bit broken now. I wonder about the cleanliness of the restaurant on my way up... Very friendly welcome and service, nice chicken and big portions. It wasn't very busy and it was very comfortable and agradable to be there. Nice views from the big window by the tables to Newcastle and the square. Nothing to complain, just a bit more love to get this five stars.”

  “Foods are too burn as you can see in pics. There are other pieces i didn't take a photo. The corn I asked for a new one and it turned to only a boiled corn. You should change a chef and hire one who have a sense of foods to work instead.”
