  “Brilliant service couldn’t recommend high enough! I’m gluten free and my usual place wasn’t available to order from. It took me 2 hours to find somewhere that 1 did certified gluten free food (separate fryers) and 2 that would deliver. The guy on the phone was very helpful and the guy went out of his way to deliver all the way to me (ne28). When the food arrived it was still hot and the driver was so friendly! I appreciate all the help massively!”

  “I boycotted this place in 2022 when it was under different ownership, reason being they'd started to box up the fish & chips by putting the fish in the box first, then covered it with a load of greasy chips which for me is 'SACRILEGE', anyway the business is now under new ownership. My review tonight was supposed to be for Mother Hubbard's fish & chips, but when I arrived it was closed (5/10/26), although according to Google it was supposed to be open. I decided to try Canny Cod & I'm pleased I did. I ordered regular fish & chips with carton of curry sauce. Fish was freshly fried & was superb, chips were just right (crisp on the outside & soft on the inside), curry sauce was good consistency (thin & easy to pour), but pretty bad regarding flavour ie 'No flavour at all', but for fish & chips only, i can't fault it. Based on tonight's experience I'll definitely be back. I noticed they had big pieces of chicken tikka in the display cabinet, the guy serving said this was for their chicken tikka wrap, so I'll definitely try that at some point. Keep up the Great Work Guys, you provide a Super service for the local community🙏”

  “Soggy fish that had not been put in hot enough oil. Curry sauce was like water because he didn't stir it. The young lad who served me had red eyes. He looked a bit paranoid and was staring at me oddly. Very uncomfortable”
