  “Customer Service That Really Stands Out ⭐ I’ve been coming to The Dispensary Coffee House since it first opened, and it’s still one of my favourite places to visit for brunch in Newcastle. Today we had two brunches and two soft drinks, which came to around £30. Considering one of the meals was a full adult portion for a nine-year-old, I thought that represented really good value for money. I ordered the chicken and waffles, which I’ve had before. It has definitely changed since my last visit. The chicken was a little drier than I remember, and although the buffalo sauce was tasty, it was a bit too spicy for my personal preference. I was really pleased it was served on the side though, as it meant I could add just the amount I wanted. What really made today’s visit stand out was the staff. I was dining with a nine-year-old who wanted his meal served in a very particular way. The team were absolutely brilliant with him. They listened carefully, understood exactly what he wanted, and his food arrived exactly as requested. Nothing was too much trouble, including bringing extra maple syrup when we asked. Friendly, patient and genuinely accommodating customer service like that makes such a difference. The only other observation I’d make is that the café itself is starting to look a little tired compared with when it first opened, and it could probably do with a bit of a refresh. That said, the atmosphere is still welcoming, the food is good, and the staff are an absolute credit to the business. We’ll definitely be back.”

  “Fantastic place in Newcastle City centre for breakfast. Chic atmosphere. Friendly staff. Fast efficient service. Their chicken benedict is excellent. Try their iced drip coffee as well for a unique experience 😉.”

  “Overall a fun experience and definitely one of the more unique cafes in Newcastle. The science theme makes it stand out, especially if you get the drip iced coffee where you can mess around with the burette yourself and “titrate your coffee”, which was genuinely quite fun. The coffee itself was decent but nothing particularly special. The pancakes were really good though, and the syringe with the maple syrup was a nice touch. Just be warned that the portions are massive, so they can be difficult to finish.”

  “I've been meaning to come here for a while and it was pretty good. Ordered full english (+ pancakes), drip iced coffee, cloud 9 white chocolate, chicken loaded fries. Coffee wasn't bitter and tasted smooth, hot chocolate was quite sweet but decadent, pricy-ish but you're paying for the presentation and I enjoyed it. Full english is why the 4, it's pretty standard, sausages and bacon were over fried, and there were just too little beans. Pancakes however were great. Chicken loaded fries tasted solid, chicken was crispy and juicy, sauce was well balanced and it was a decent portion. Service is great, helpful and very quick. Does get busy especially from 10-12 but if you walk in before 10 should be pretty easy to get a table.,”

  “I can’t recommend The Dispensary Coffee House + Eatery highly enough! From the moment I walked in, the vibe was cool and welcoming, and the coffee completely delivered — the drip coffee was rich, bold, and served in a really fun, creative way. I ordered a couple of breakfast dishes and everything was delicious. The small scrambled eggs on toasted bread were perfectly creamy and seasoned, and the full English was a brilliant mix of flavours and great quality ingredients. For something sweet, the pancakes (especially the white chocolate ones) were absolutely gorgeous — fluffy, indulgent, and a real treat”

  “The place is a bit hit or miss, the first time I went here the food wasn’t that great, the chicken was quite dry. But the second time around it was much better. The biscoff French toast was quite nice. Staff are quite friendly too.”

  “Definitely student centered, but the food was tasty. It was a good "one off" but I definitely couldn't go there weekly (or even monthly... £££). The minimal brutalist design favoured style over comfort. The tables weren't spaced generously and while my husband and I were there we saw a few people being turned away for not having booked in advance....despite there being numerous empty tables.”

  “They have the best pancakes 🥞 in Newcastle! Everything was delicious, and the staff were extremely helpful. Our waitress, Ruby was especially amazing ,she was smiling the whole time and happily assisted with every request. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great food and excellent service!”
