Customer Review Summary

Reviewers most often single out the service, with one server repeatedly described as attentive and great craic, and another as fast, polite and always smiling, even when the bar was busy. Drinks come next, from a delicious Pina Colada to a 2-1 cocktail offer, with Bottomless Brunch on Ladies Day described as lively. The quayside location, a table near the DJ and a guy on stilts add to the atmosphere reviewers describe. Food draws praise for flavour and presentation, though complaints are specific. One diner found the sprouts overcooked and very soft. Another said the Sunshine Salad arrived without its brown rice and with only a few edamame beans, leaving it unsatisfying. A pornstar martini came with a dry lemon slice, and one group waited around ten minutes for drinks ordered by barcode from an outside table, with no Cola available. One group wished they could book a double slot after being moved twice.

“Sunshine Salad is missing several of its key ingredients. The Kale was replaced with mixed greens which is a fair substitute. However the brown rice was entirely absent and I counted only 5 little soy ( edamame) beans. There did appear to be approximately 1 teaspoon of unadvertised quinoa. At a rather expensive £17.25 for lunch, the absence of brown rice and soybeans means there was no protein nor much substance. It was tasty, but wholly unsatisfying.”

“Good table near the DJ. Excellent app with drinks delivered quickly and efficiently by friendly staff. Lovely drinks ( we didn’t have food). Small criticism would be that we could book a double slot of 4 hours as we moved after 2 and had to find another seat then move to another bar”

“Fab afternoon with Bottomless Brunch - was Ladies Day at Newcastle Races, but was in no way quiet!!! Great food and our server Emilia was great craic and so very attentive! Would certainly recommend 👌”
  • Sam Harris
“Lovely location on the quayside with pleasant vibes and surprisingly tasty food! Popped in for a quick bite and was shocked by the quality and taste of the food I was given. To make it all better, I saw one of the chefs on his break out the back and he was SO handsome. Dark hair, rough and ready stubble and sexy librarian-esque glasses. Phwooooah. Good food but an even better chef!”

“Emilia was great. So attentive and on the ball. Couldn’t have asked for better. Thanks Emilia! The guy on stilts was fun too!”
