About Bar 11
Bar 11 is a bar and kitchen in the Airport Terminal Building at Newcastle Airport, Newcastle Upon Tyne. Its seating is larger and more spacious than at the other bars in the airport, and the tables carry QR codes, so orders go in straight from the seat. The kitchen serves food alongside drinks. Bacon sandwiches and hash browns sit on the menu, and katsu chicken curry on rice is another option. The bang bang cauliflower is vegan friendly. Music plays at high volume.

Customer Review Summary
Friendly staff are the most common thread, with one server singled out repeatedly as welcoming and lovely, and several reviewers calling the bar more comfortable and spacious than the other airport options, with quick service. On the food, the katsu chicken curry on rice earns the strongest praise, described as delicious and devoured. Bang bang cauliflower, bacon sandwiches, hash browns and a Heineken also get positive mentions. Reviewers call the prices high but accept that as normal for an airport. The complaints are specific. The QR codes on tables did not work, and two bar staff seemed uninterested, with one on the phone throughout. The pancakes with bacon looked nothing like the menu photo, and a team leader would not speak to the unhappy customer. There was no fish and chips at lunchtime, and one reviewer found the music loud and noisy. One group heading to India had a table waiting that a staff member had decorated with Indian colours and elephants.

“Great airport bar with a friendly atmosphere and excellent service. A special thanks to Sally, who was welcoming, professional, and always had a lovely smile. She made the experience even better. I’ll definitely stop by again on my next trip!”

“This bar/restaurant has a nice calming atmosphere. Sally was lovely and friendly which improved the experience. Can’t rate the food as I have not eaten here as I think some of the items are quite pricey. Same with the drinks but that is expected in an airport. I think the place could be improved by having toilet facilities. Other than that it was a very pleasant experience.”
