Customer Review Summary

Diners most often single out the lamb, from grilled chops and skewers to a lamb biryani, with butter chicken and garlic king prawn starters close behind. Drinks such as the Lychee Jal-Jeera, Bollywood Dreams and Tropical Tikki also get praise, and one non-drinking guest notes the waiters made sure their beverages contained no alcohol. Staff draw the most repeated warmth. They are described as friendly and attentive, and several say the recommendations suited each person at the table. One couple enjoyed cricket talk with the manager. The atmosphere is called warm and relaxed, and one reviewer suggests arriving early on a Friday for a calmer room, since it gets livelier later. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who found the assistant manager unprofessional and rude on arrival and the food overpriced, though the chicken karahi was the best part of that meal. Another reviewer calls the value excellent. One evening ended with a complimentary kulfi.

“⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely outstanding experience from start to finish! The food was absolutely divine, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We came for a wedding party and left with happy, full hearts. A huge thank you to the manager, Amal, who was incredibly generous, kind, and attentive throughout the evening. He made sure everything ran smoothly and checked in with us regularly to ensure we were having the best possible experience. His hospitality was second to none. Our server, Shubham, was equally fantastic. He was friendly, professional, and attentive, making sure we had everything we needed. The level of service we received was truly exceptional and felt world-class. A wonderful venue with amazing food and outstanding customer service. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable dining experience, and I can’t wait to visit again!”

“Thank you so much for such a wonderful meal. Shiv served us and was one of the most attentive waiters we’ve ever met! He was an absolute delight and the food was out of this world!! We was visiting from Oxford & my husband even said he’d drive the 4 hours to come back again!!”

“I was really disappointed with my experience at Tyga. From the moment we arrived, it didn’t feel very welcoming. The assistant manager, Amal, came across as unprofessional and rude which set the tone for the rest of the visit. The food is very overpriced for what you get, and in my opinion it simply isn’t worth the money. I ordered the chicken karahi, which was probably the best part of the meal, but it still wasn’t enough to make up for the overall experience. The only positive from the evening was our waiter, Shivraj. He was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout, so credit where it’s due. Overall, the experience wasn’t great, and unfortunately I wouldn’t return or recommend it.”

“Had a wonderful experience at TYGA in Manchester, especially thanks to Mr Aziz from front of house, who made the evening even more enjoyable. He was charming, highly knowledgeable, and clearly brought years of experience from the food and hospitality industry. His attentive yet natural service really elevated the experience. We arrived early on a Friday evening, before the usual rush of Manchester diners, which meant we got to enjoy the restaurant in a much calmer setting. The ambience was beautiful—elegant, relaxed, and very much the epitome of fine dining at that time. I imagine after 7:30pm the atmosphere becomes much livelier, so it really depends on the kind of vibe you’re after. For drinks, we tried the Lychee Jal-Jeera, which is definitely an acquired taste, but one I thoroughly enjoyed. We also had the Bollywood Dreams and Tropical Tikki, both excellent choices. Food-wise, we ordered the grilled chops, chicken, and lamb skewers, served with accompanying condiments. Everything was well-prepared, flavourful, and arrived promptly. Service throughout was swift and impressive without ever feeling rushed. A lovely touch to end the meal was a complimentary kulfi, which was much appreciated. If you’re looking for a calm, refined dining experience, arriving before 7pm on a Friday is ideal. If you prefer a more energetic atmosphere, going later would probably give you a completely different experience. A very enjoyable evening overall.”
