Quick info
About HAMPTON & VOÚIS
HAMPTON & VOÚIS is a Mediterranean-inspired brunch restaurant in Manchester's Northern Quarter, at 31 Princess St and near Manchester Town Hall. The menu follows a flexitarian approach, so vegan, vegetarian and meat options sit on the same list, which lets mixed tables order together. Avocado toast with poached eggs and French toast anchor the brunch dishes. The drink list pairs speciality coffee, including lattes and cortados, with matcha, chai and peach drinks. The dining room has a large window.

Customer Review Summary
French toast is the draw reviewers raise most, described as huge, delicious and on another level, with one saying it looked incredible and tasted just as good. Close behind are the avocado toast with poached eggs, the salmon and avocado, and the deli eggs with pastrami and tapenade, which one reviewer found filling and tasty. Matcha, a chai drink and a peach drink get praise, and several mention lattes and a cortado. Portions are described as plentiful, and the vegan and vegetarian options and overnight oats with blueberries earn mentions. Staff are repeatedly called lovely and friendly, and one team went out of their way to find an extra chair for a group. On the negative side, one reviewer called it overrated, saying the food looked great but tasted quite bad and the cutlery was dirty, and another found the coffee not to their taste despite expecting more from the machine. A little noise at peak times is also noted. One group of five had to split across tables, which the reviewer said was not a problem.

“Many many thing about this place make it an exceptional brunch spot. The portions are plentiful and you are definitely left full, prices are reasonable, staff were so lovely and full of smiles, and most importantly the food was yum yum yummy. It is honestly a task choosing what you want to eat from the menu because they have so many good options. We came as a group of 5 and we did have to split up as the largest table was for 4, but that was not a problem. I hope to return.”

“I had a great experience eating at HAMPTON & VOUIS, Manchester. Brilliant place, the food, coffee, and ambience. I had the best avocado toast with poached eggs, açai bowl and a cortado! The stuff, Megan, Carlo and Maisie were very kind and friendly. Megan even helped me in sorting out my railway card renewal! I will definitely come back when visiting Manchester, again!”

“Had a lovely time there after dropping off the airport. The toasts were on point, crunchy in the outside and fluffy inside. Colo, the waiter did an amazing job welcoming us. I definetly recommend this place :)”

“The French toast was on another level of delicious and it was huge; it took me a while to finish it. The matcha was also very, very good. The chai one is wonderful if you like slightly spicier flavors, and the peach one is so smooth and sweet. The service is also very good, and the place has a comfortable vibe. It can get a little noisy at peak times, but nothing terrible. One of the best places for brunch in Manchester with good vegetarian and vegan options.”

“Cute place with good food. Had higher expectations on the coffee given the machine but it was not to my taste but everyone is different. Still a good location for breakfast and I’d give it another try when coming back”
