Customer Review Summary

Curries draw the most praise, with the Chicken and Chana Balti called gorgeous, one diner hooked on the balti and karahi, and a vindaloo with a tamarind tang and tender lamb. Close behind are the Tandoori Mixed Grill, mentioned by two reviewers, and the chutney tray, which one longtime curry eater calls the tastiest anywhere. Naans, pilau and coriander lemon rice also get mentions, though one reviewer found the cheese naan not particularly cheesy. Several praise good value, friendly staff and a spacious, airy, clean room with a chilled vibe. Criticism is scattered but specific. One diner found the chapati super hard, as hard as a papad. Another called the set menu for two misleading and mid quality for the price, saying better places charge less elsewhere in town. One reviewer described the food as stale and the service disappointing. A fasting guest recalls staff offering a quiet space to rest until sunset, then tailoring the dishes to their tastes when they broke fast.

“Everyone’s got an opinion … Here’s mine 🙏 A unique take on Vindaloo with a Tamarind tang .. utterly delicious. Great quality, tender lamb. Tasty special rice and Coriander lemon rice AND Pilau too .. oily and heavy paratha … just how it’s meant to be ☺️ The chutney tray is by far the tastiest anywhere I’ve been in 55 years of currying around. I think I can identify chefs tricks and ingredients but I’m hooked on all the flavours here .. Balti, Karahi etc If you’re lucky you’ll get the extra special carrot, garlic, chilli chopped to millimetre pieces with your chutneys too .. 💯 % recommended .. great service and chilled vibe”

“Got the set menu for two and poppadoms. Set menu is misleading IMO. Food was mid quality for the price you pay personally, better quality places cheaper in town or at wilmslow road. Went mid week and was quiet and service was okay. 6/10 overall”
