Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the tapas, describing them as made to order, substantial, fresh and tasty. One reviewer who lived in Spain for decades calls them authentic. Staff are repeatedly called welcoming and helpful, and one visit used a voucher for tapas and gin. Close behind, the hot breakfast gets a good word, especially the eggs. Opinion on quality is split. One reviewer found everything tasted defrosted, the room awkward and without atmosphere, and the cost high for what arrived, though the server was lovely. Another credits the cosy ambience but says the red house wine tasted like vinegar. Two reviewers were frustrated that the restaurant is not open 24 hours as its online listing states, and one was told only that the hotel itself is 24 hour. The prawn gambas drew the most specific complaint: shrimps cooked down to less than half their original size, with a texture like little rubber bits.

“This is NOT a 24 hour restaurant as stated on Google! I saw it was attached to a decent hotel, so I did think it was a genuine possibility that it could be open... When I arrived, the male hotel desk staff looked at me as if I was some vagrant walking in off the street!! (For the record, Im a well presented woman in my 30s...) It was still a reasonable time, it being approx 10:30pm on a Sunday, I was met with hostility, like my enquiry was a total inconvenience to them. I politely pointed out that Google states, specifically, the restaurant is 24hr, the response was "the hotel is 24hr" 🤷🏼♀️🤦🏼♀️ I would never want to spend money based on the severe lack of customer service, judgemental attitude and the manner in which my enquiry was dealt with. Terrible.”

“The restaurant is NOT open 24 hours. Moreover it's a part of the hotel.”

“3 stars only because the ambience is cosy, otherwise 1 star. Give the red house wine a miss, it tasted like vinegar. Also skip the prawn gambas, the shrimps were over cooked till it’s less than half the original size. Texture like little rubber bits. Beer looks alright.”
