Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise the food, with the vegan sweet potato katsu singled out by a long-time regular who is not vegetarian, and close behind the yaki soba, chicken rice bowl, crispy mushroom wings and ginger cheesecake. Several call dishes fresh and full of flavour. Service splits. Some find staff friendly and attentive, while others describe a long wait for an order to be taken in a quiet dining room, late drinks, and one meal arriving minutes after another. Food complaints are specific: a dry noodle dish, chilli squid with prawn crackers coated in very salty seasoning, and a lunch portion with less chicken than other branches. One reviewer struggled to pay by QR code on a phone with poor signal downstairs, and a server refused a watch receipt and asked for a second payment. After a mixed-up order for a child's meal, the manager and staff brought small treats.

“I visited Wagamama in Manchester city centre with my mum and son and we had a lovely experience! The team were very accommodating and happily changed a few ingredients in my mum’s dish. The food was delicious, as it always is whenever we visit Wagamama. There was a small mix-up with my son’s order, which meant we had to wait a few extra minutes for his meal. However, the staff and manager were incredibly attentive and caring and even offered us small treats to make up for it. The customer service was excellent and we left very happy. We didn’t get a chance to thank the team properly because we were rushing to catch our train back to Leeds, so I wanted to say thank you here. Highly recommend!”

“We had an excellent experience at Wagamama Manchester Printworks. We both had the yaki soba, which was fresh, full of flavour, and beautifully cooked. We finished with the ginger cheesecake, which was absolutely delicious. Alex and Chloe were fantastic hosts—friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Their excellent service made the whole experience even more enjoyable. The restaurant had a great atmosphere, and we would highly recommend Wagamama Manchester Printworks. We'll definitely be back!”

“We ordered from the lunch menu, which was £14 and included one of the selected dishes plus a soft drink (such as a Coke or iced tea — not an alcoholic drink). After eventually being shown to our table, despite the restaurant being quiet with very few customers and hardly any walk-ins, we then had to wait almost 20 minutes before anyone came to take our order. When the food arrived, the portion seemed to contain noticeably less chicken than we're used to receiving at other Wagamama locations, and it wasn't particularly filling. We were still hungry afterwards and ended up buying a snack elsewhere. Overall, this wasn't the best Wagamama experience, and certainly not one of the better branches we've visited.”

“What can I say, very dubious about going to a chain, but can't wait to return in a few days time. My wife asked to try it here, cater for all diets, service was good, food blew us away, which really surprised us. The only disappointment was we waited 5 minutes for my wife's meal to come after mine arrived. Other than that it was perfect and more than reasonable in cost. Well done. Went back again, had a chicken rice bowl. Absolutely stunning dish. To many chain restaurants fail to hit the mark, but this one delivers each time and very very good servive”

“Went here for lunch, the restaurant just opened so it was very quiet. Staff were friendly and the food arrived promptly. I tried the Saku Saku Duck Soba. Though it is pricey (between £19-£20), it was delicious”
