Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, with several describing friendly, welcoming service, one server who handled an onion allergy by checking the order repeatedly, and another who customised a grilled chicken flavour so well the reviewer became a regular. Food praise is thinner: one reviewer rates a Mediterranean salad with well-cooked chicken thighs that arrived quickly, and another enjoys dishes with the right amount of spice. Complaints recur and are specific. One reviewer asked for a Fino pitta and received it with half the ingredients missing for the second time, once dining in and once on takeaway, with staff described as not apologetic. Another says vegetarian options are always out of stock and that the soft serve tastes watery. One group of 18 was told there was no booking for a birthday celebration after one had been taken by phone, and met a rude manager. Another left after ten minutes of waiting at the counter when the app would not connect and no one came over, despite a quiet restaurant. A reviewer celebrating a graduation dinner describes the staff making it special.

“Dear Nando’s Team, I would like to recognise Luke for the outstanding customer service he provided during my recent visit. From the moment I arrived, Luke was incredibly welcoming, friendly, and professional. He made me feel genuinely valued as a customer, and his positive attitude really stood out. He went above and beyond to ensure I had a great experience, and his enthusiasm and kindness made my visit even more enjoyable. Luke is a real star and a fantastic ambassador for Nando’s. Team members like him are the reason customers keep coming back. His excellent service deserves recognition, and I hope he receives the praise he truly deserves. Please pass on my sincere thanks to Luke. He made my day, and I look forward to visiting again. Kind regards, Me of course 😆”

“Went today at dinner. There were only 2 other tables with diners and at least 4 members of staff I could see. We sat down and tried to order on the app. There was no signal on any of our phones in the restaurant so we couldn’t use that service. We then went to the counter to order. No one acknowledged us, despite seeing we were waiting to be served. One member of staff dropped the f-bomb whilst in conversation with his colleague also… not very professional. While we were waiting for someone to come to us, we tried to use the app again but it still wouldn’t connect. After ten minutes of standing and waiting, and not one member of staff coming to us, we left. Terrible service on a very quiet Friday.”

“Absolutely appalling experience – Nando’s Printworks Manchester I’m extremely disappointed with the way we were treated at Nando’s Printworks Manchester. I called on 5th August to book a table for 18 people at 6pm on 8th August for a very special family celebration. It was my little brother’s 21st birthday, and we were celebrating a little later than planned because he had been away serving in the Navy. This was an important occasion for our family, and we had made arrangements in advance specifically so that everything would go smoothly. When we arrived on the evening, we were told that there was no booking under our name and, even more frustratingly, that they apparently don’t take bookings. So why was our booking taken over the phone in the first place? If the restaurant doesn’t accept bookings, we should have been told that when I called on 5th August. Instead, we were given the impression that our table had been arranged, only to arrive with a large group on the night and be told otherwise. To make matters worse, the manager’s attitude was extremely rude and unhelpful. There was no genuine attempt to understand the situation or acknowledge how frustrating and embarrassing this was, especially when it was for a family celebration that we had planned in advance. Having 18 people turn up expecting a table that we had specifically called to arrange, only to be told there was no booking, is completely unacceptable. This experience took a lot of the enjoyment out of what should have been a really special evening for my brother’s 21st. The whole point of calling ahead was to avoid exactly this situation. Very poor communication, very poor customer service, and an extremely disappointing experience. If this is how they treat customers who have gone out of their way to arrange a large booking for a special occasion, I certainly wouldn’t recommend Nando’s Printworks Manchester to anyone. Save yourself the hassle and go somewhere else altogether.”
