Customer Review Summary

Koobideh kebab is the dish reviewers name most, described as soft, fresh and delicious, with polo mahicheh also praised for tender, perfectly cooked meat. Close behind are the starters and sides, including hummus, mirza ghasemi, yogurt and eggplant, along with a seabass main and a sharing platter said to feed three. Reviewers also single out the homemade cake served with tea, and one describes a pot of tea with flavoured extras. Staff draw steady praise as friendly and welcoming, and several say they explained the dishes and spices to first-time Persian food diners. Some mention smooth shisha at the front, with restaurant seating separate at the back. The one practical note is that the restaurant is not licensed, so one reviewer says guests can bring their own drinks for a corkage fee. No real complaints appear. Several reviewers close on a complimentary slice of cake they nearly turned down because they were full.

“Absolutely OUTSTANDING! Having missed last orders at one of our favourite restaurants, we spotted the Shookah Lounge as we drove through Chorlton and checked the reviews. Many, many great reviews so we thought we would try it out. We were not disappointed. Service was fantastic and the food was sensational. We had the Seabass as our main course having eaten starters of hummus and mirza ghasemi. The mirza ghasemi was simply delicious, an absolute MUST have. Jay the owner was genuinely interested in our feedback and the only regret that I have is that I didn't take a picture of the seabass to share as part of this review. The presentation of the seabass was simply fabulous and plenty for two people. In fact at £20, considering a few days later at Starbucks, I paid nearly as much for two lattes and two croissants, it was a bargain. Cooked to perfection, I would highly recommend it. Wishing you every success with your new venture Jay.”

“Amazing authentic Persian food. Really tasty dish. Sharing platter for 2, with a couple of sides, more than enough for 3 people. Friendly and attentive staff. Service was quick too! Definitely need to come back to try more dishes!”
