About Cosy Club

Cosy Club is a British restaurant in Manchester, set inside the Majestic Corn Exchange and dressed in a 1970s theme of plush velvet sofas and rich wallpaper. That setting suits groups, and the Cathedral and Exchange rooms can be reserved for private gatherings. The kitchen serves breakfast, including a full cooked breakfast and eggs benedict with smoked back bacon. The wider menu includes panko-crusted cod and chips and a vegan smash burger. Cocktails and other drinks sit alongside the food, so the same room works for brunch, a long lunch or an evening out with friends. The station is a four-minute walk away.

Customer Review Summary

Breakfast draws the most mentions, from a full cooked breakfast to eggs benedict with smoked back bacon, plus a gluten free menu that one parent of a celiac son found surprisingly broad. Dinner dishes also earn praise: the steak sandwich with pepper sauce, cod brioche, Panko-Crusted Cod & Chips, Herb-Crusted Roast Salmon Fillet, a Malvani chicken curry and the Cosy Vegan Smash Burger. Sweet potato fries stand out for their generous portion. Reviewers describe the atmosphere as cosy, posh and stylish, with comfortable seating, and several call the staff welcoming. Complaints are fewer but specific. One party sat at the wait to be seated area while the room was nearly empty and nobody came, and one reviewer found a steak tiny for what it cost. Another said the coffees could have been warmer, and one wished for a smaller portion option. Several still felt the value for money was fair or better. One diner finished a full cooked breakfast outside in the sunshine.

“Truly a remarkable dining experience! I arrived quite late, yet despite that the staff were still more than willing to seat me at a lovely table with a nice view. The restaurant lives up to its name completely as the interior was chique, yet in a very cozy manner, moody warm lighting and comfortable seating. I ordered a Malvani chicken curry, which was terrific and did not take long to arrive at my table, my waitress was very helpful and accomodating which again helped me feel even more comfortable. I would highly recommend grabbing dinner here!”

“Myself and my friend went here a couple of days ago just for a quick tea on a nice day. It was okay. There was literally only one couple sat eating and rest of the place was empty, yet no one came to see us at the wait to be seated area for 20 minutes, and we considered leaving just as a waitress appeared. I had a burger which was nice, but my friend paid for a £24 steak and it was absolutely tiny for the price. Wasn’t too bad, but probably wouldn’t go back.”

“I popped in for a meal recently and was really impressed! The food was gorgeous, especially the Cosy Vegan Smash Burger. I do think a smaller portion option could be great for those of us with smaller appetites. Everything from the service to the atmosphere was top-notch, and I felt like I got fantastic value for my money. I'll definitely be back for more!”

“We recently enjoyed a meal that absolutely hit the spot! The Chicken & Smoked Bacon Caesar Salad was spot on, with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. The Panko-Crusted Cod & Chips were delicious, and we felt we got great value for money. Plus, the sweet potato fries were a standout for their generous portion and tasty quality. The service from Poppy was top-notch - she deserves a raise!! and the atmosphere was just right definitely a place we will be returning to!”

“I have dined at this spot several times and it is always a good experience. The service was spot-on, super welcoming, and the drinks (house red) were very good —definitely worth the trip. I enjoyed the Herb-Crusted Roast Salmon Fillet; it was delicious, though the Charred Padron Peppers weren't really my thing. Everything was clean and the atmosphere was just right for a relaxed meal. Great vibe and a lovely place to unwind!”
