About The Real Greek Manchester

Greek cooking anchors the menu at The Real Greek Manchester, a Greek restaurant in the Corn Exchange. Around 50 dishes run through the kitchen, among them moussaka and chicken gyros served with tzatziki, and diners avoiding gluten can order a gluten-free flatbread from the wider gluten-free selection. Ouzo and Greek wines sit alongside the food. Waiting staff take orders and settle the bill at the table, and reservations are recommended. Outdoor seating gives the option of eating outside, high chairs make space for families with young children, and a step-free entrance serves visitors with mobility needs. Takeaway and delivery cover meals eaten off site. The doors open daily.

Customer Review Summary

The moussaka draws the strongest praise, with two diners calling it among the best dishes they have ever eaten, one describing perfectly balanced layers and another an authentic version that brought back memories of a father's cooking. Close behind is the floor staff, repeatedly described as welcoming, friendly and informative, and one guest with a peanut allergy credits their server for handling it well. Also singled out: double servings of pistachio ice cream, called the creamiest the party had had and not overly sweet, Mythos beer ordered to amplify the authenticity, vegan options, and gluten free flatbread. Portion size is the recurring complaint, with one reviewer leaving hungry after a set meal and another, ordering a buy one get one free deal through a delivery app, reporting portions at half the usual size. The same reviewer who found portions small gave credit to a waitress who checked the service charge was acceptable before payment, and another table recalls a free brownie sent over when they met a friend's newborn.

Don’t offer ‘Buy One Get One Free’ on Deliveroo if your portions are going to be half the normal size. …

Beautiful food and a lovely experience. On this glorious, sunny day, it felt like a step into Greece. A varied menu, good vegan options, and the serving staff were all welcoming, friendly and informative! Special mention to Alexia, Alex, and Olga. Would highly recommend and look forward to coming again. Double servings of pistachio ice cream was thoroughly enjoyed by the rest of my party! They both said it was the nicest they've had, very creamy and not overly sweet. We all enjoyed a drink of Mythos to amplify the authenticity 🍻

I absolutely loved this restaurant, and the moussaka was truly outstanding—without a doubt one of the best I've ever had. The first time I ever tasted moussaka was when my dad made it for me. He used to own a restaurant in England and loved cooking dishes from different countries. Ever since then, moussaka has always held a special place in my heart. I ordered it here because it reminds me of him. I live far away now, and I miss him so much. Eating this dish brought back so many beautiful memories of the moments we've shared together over the years. Thankfully, we still make new memories whenever we can. Thank you for serving such an authentic and delicious moussaka—it made this meal truly special.

I tried the moussaka, and as someone who loves cooking and appreciates great food, I can honestly say it’s one of the best dishes I’ve ever had. Every layer was perfectly balanced, and the execution was flawless. Absolutely delicious. …

The food itself is good, but the portion sizes are designed for children. I spent almost £30 on a set meal and left hungry. The service charge is 10%. I do have to give bonus points to my waitress, who made sure I was ok with the service charge before payment. Gluten free options are available and gluten free flat bread is also available.

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Listings are re-checked in batches against their public profile, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
