  “I don’t live near, so I come to Kobeda Place about once per year and I have been coming for the last 9 years and it’s always fabulous. Chicken, lamb or fish - all good. Their rice is amazing and they do the best naans. I’m a little in love with this spot.”

  “Such a disgusting experience with my recent visit. I ordered chicken with pilao. After eating most of my chicken meal, I noticed part of the chicken inside appeared raw/undercooked. I informed staff at the time and was only offered a replacement meal, but I had already lost my appetite and still had to pay. I also took photos of the chicken. Hopefully food quality and safety checks improve.”

  “Don’t know where to eat for iftar yesterday so we just went to this restaurant. We thought the menu was not variety so we just ordered the most appalling looking on the menu. When our food came to the table, we were so was shocked because the portion was so generous we ordered only one qabili pillow but it was enough for three of us. They were also generous with their sauces which elevate the rice taste cuz I love my rice with a lot of daqoos and garlic yoghurt sauce. ( some place are so stingy with the sauces) We were so full that we need to take away kobeda kebab that we ordered. We ate kobeda kebab after teraweeh prayer at my house. Eventhough I reheated it, the kobeda kebab was soo sooo delicious. I’ve never tried any kobeda kebab before but I love this one. The meat was big, juicy, flavourful and the bread was crispy on outside soft on inside and already delicious by itself like you cant get enough of it. The service is top tier as well since we get enough cutleries and extra plates to our table in addition that they gave us dates to break our fast with. Idk if I was super hungry but the dates were delicious as well hahaha. Overall, I think this restaurant deserves praises. I was so satisfied with my experience here. Definitely will try it again and recommend to my friends. I hope the portion and price stays as it is hehehe.”

  “The food delivery was quite late, annoying late actually. However, if there was ever a time where it was worth the wait, then this was it. The chicken tikka was slightly dry but I have to say the Kobeda was the best I have had, the portion sizes were very good, the naans were massive, they gave all the sauces and salads separate which was perfect.”

  “I have ate a lot of kobeda’s from different places and I can honestly say this is the best I’ve had. As soon as kobeda was placed on table I could see that the meat was not dry but moist and succulent, the nan was fluffy and soft and salad was fresh. It was late at night so not too busy so service was very fast.”

  “Well located on the curry mile in Manchester. Fantastic freshly cooked food. Traditional and authentic Afghan. Friendly staff and good prices. Decor and seating a bit basic but fit for purpose and clean. Would recommend!”

Food: The food was the real highlight. The chicken faham was perfectly grilled — juicy, well-marinated, and full of aromatic spices. The kobeda on naan was a standout dish too, with soft, freshly baked naan enveloping tender, smoky kebabs. The portion was generous and satisfying. The Kabuli Pulao deserves a special mention — a classic Afghan rice dish with sweet raisins, julienned carrots, and delicately spiced lamb that melted in the mouth. It was both hearty and elegant. The flavours throughout the meal were well-balanced, comforting, and clearly made with care. Service: The staff were friendly and welcoming from the moment we arrived. Our order was taken efficiently and food came out promptly, even though the restaurant was busy. The servers were attentive without being intrusive — a great balance. Value for Money: One of the best things about Kobeda Place is how affordable it is. For the quality and portion size, it’s surprisingly cheap — perfect for families or groups. You can enjoy a hearty, authentic meal here for under £10 per person, which is impressive in today’s market. Cleanliness and Seating: The seating arrangements were quite comfortable with enough space between tables, and the atmosphere was relaxed. The interior was well-kept, modern, and clean — from the floors to the tables and even the washroom facilities, everything was spotless and fresh. Downside – Parking: The only drawback was the lack of parking. It’s not the most convenient location if you’re driving, as there’s limited street parking nearby and no dedicated lot. That said, if you’re local or coming by public transport, it won’t be an issue. ⸻ In summary, Kobeda Place offers excellent food, friendly service, and great value, all in a clean and comfortable setting. If they could just sort out the parking situation, it would be a solid five-star spot! Will definitely return — next time with an empty stomach and maybe by Uber.”
