“wasn't planning on having fish and chips for dinner, but here i am. amazing price compared to other places, and it doesn't taste any less delicious. i ordered the cod and cheesy chips. the cod was amazing — not too oily, with perfect seasoning. the cheesy chips were delightful too. as someone who loves cheese, this was incredible! i couldn't finish the chips in the end though, the portion was huge for me lol. would definitely come back for another serving of fish and chips!”

“A great spot near St Peter’s Square to try traditional English fish and chips. The food was fresh, well prepared, and tasty about as good as this classic British dish can be. Perfectly crispy batter with tender fish inside, and the portion size generous. If you’re looking for an authentic local meal while exploring Manchester, this place is definitely worth a visit.”

“It was an enjoyable experience coming to Wrights. I had a meal deal. meat and potato pie, chips, peas and gravy washed down with an iron brew. food was really hot and very tasty. staff were very helpful and friendly. will defo come again”

“Ordered a fried cod and regular chips with a side of gravy. Fish was crispy and flaky , chips were crispy and fluffy. Gravy was pretty good too. Staff were extremely nice and welcoming too! They offered me some napkins to dry myself when I came in drenched from the rain. Would recommend this place to anyone stopping by :)”

“This is what every chippy should aim for. The fish was massive, flaky, and clearly fresh – you could tell it hadn’t been sitting around. Batter was light, golden and had that proper crunch without being oily. Chips were proper chippy chips: thick cut, fluffy in the middle, crisp outside. Even the curry sauce tasted homemade. Service was quick, friendly, and portions are generous. Fair price for the quality too. If you’re craving fish & chips, don’t bother going anywhere else.”
