About Annyeong Korean Restaurant & Bar
On Half moon chambers in central Manchester, Annyeong Korean Restaurant & Bar is a Korean BBQ restaurant where diners cook the meat themselves on a grill at the table. Unlimited BBQ set menus arrive as platters, and the meat is ordered through an online system. Away from the grill, the menu includes bibimbap and kimchi jigae, as well as noodles served in large bowls of hot soup. Halal service comes with separate utensils and plates for halal diners. A karaoke function room on site gives parties a place to sing, and private dining suits groups. Guests are asked to wait to be seated at busy times. The bar runs alongside the dining room.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often return for the unlimited Korean BBQ set, cooked at the table, with several noting one platter was filling and a four-person set left leftovers. Reviewers praise the quality and freshness of the meat and salad, and describe the grilling as a fun, interactive way to get food done to their liking. Close behind, one diner enjoyed the bibimbap and kimchi jigae, though wished the bibimbap sauce were spicier, and another appreciated separate utensils and plates for halal diners. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere come up repeatedly. The main complaint is slow service. One party waited almost 20 minutes past a promised five to be seated, then felt rushed before the kitchen closed. Others found the online ordering confusing, and one waited a long time for raw meat to reach the table despite the unlimited platter. One reviewer noted greasy patches needing a clean, and a delivery order arrived with a tiny portion of beef and bland soup. One server spilling hot oil while changing the grill paper stands out.

“Good... That's the overall experience. Better than ok, but not exceptional. Good food, but not delicious (I only had the one dish though, so I can't be too critical). Nice friendly staff, but not that attending (was only the one staff member, however it wasn't busy so no excuse). I would say that they need to tidy and clean the place a bit. Some parts were very greasy. Overall, this place has great potential. Situated smack in the middle of Manchester, with what could be a top Korean resturant. Just needs a little ironing out of a few things. Still worth a visit!”

“For my first time trying a Korean Barbecue, my girlfriend and I thought this was absolutely fantastic. Not just the food, but also the atmosphere was great and really good for couples, friends, or even families. Also, the service was top-notch, we couldn’t have asked for better. I awoke the chef in me as well and will definitely be back again. P.S: One platter of the unlimited bbq set was very filling, we almost didn’t finish it.”

“We were asked to wait for 5 minutes, but after almost 20 minutes, we still hadn’t been called. It seemed like they had forgotten about us, and no one even apologized. It was almost 9:15 pm by the time we were finally seated, and they told us the kitchen would be closing around 9:40. We were also assisted late because we didn’t know how to order online for their meat. As a result, we felt rushed while grilling and eating our food. The food was okay, but the service was disappointing.”

“This is easily one of the WORST Korean BBQ restaurants I’ve been to in Manchester. I had high expectations because I’ve never had a bad experience at a Korean BBQ before, and I rarely leave negative reviews. I just want to say FIX your floor or at least put up a proper hazard sign. I genuinely tripped over a raised section that was poorly covered with tape and almost fell. It was completely unacceptable. The impact was bad enough that my toenails lifted, leaving me in a lot of pain. I didn’t want to make a scene, so I carried on, but the staff didn’t seem concerned or bothered. Ordering through the online system was confusing and painfully slow. It took over 30 minutes just for the meat and other dishes to arrive. We ordered an unlimited meat platter, yet we still had to wait ages for raw meat to be brought to the table. We were the ones cooking it ourselves, so there’s really no excuse for such a long wait. I wouldn’t come back and definitely wouldn’t recommend it. Poor safety, poor service, and an overall disappointing experience!”

“Ordered via Deliveroo and so disappointed. The portion was tiny with one singular piece of sad beef. The soup base was pretty bland and the radish kimchee was watery and lacked any flavour. The most disappointing thing is the black hair I found in my food as I dished it up. Disgusting. I would strongly advise against ordering from this restaurant”
