About ASK Italian Restaurant Manchester

ASK Italian Restaurant Manchester is an Italian restaurant at One Piccadilly Gardens in Manchester, with a dining room that has plenty of seating and lots of booth areas. Allergy handling is part of the service. A green allergy book lists what each menu item contains, an allergen manager checks orders, and dishes that are peanut free carry a sticker. The menu covers pizza and pasta, with Linguine Frutti Di Mare and Seabass among the mains and Bailey's Tiramisu for dessert. Cocktails and mocktails run alongside the food, and a set menu is available. Guests receive welcome drinks on arrival. Walk-ins join a wait queue, with a short wait at peak hours.

Customer Review Summary

Staff warmth is the most repeated draw, with reviewers describing servers who were smiley, welcoming and never rushed a table. One diner with a peanut allergy was handed a green allergy book, had an allergen manager double check the order, and received dishes with stickers confirming they were peanut free. Food earns praise too: the Linguine Frutti Di Mare, the seabass, pizza and pasta that tasted authentic, baked potatoes described as spot on, and a tiramisu called phenomenal. Reviewers also single out the strawberry sparkle mocktail with popping boba pearls, and the cocktails. Portions are called huge and the set menu good value, though one reviewer finds the place a little pricey. The complaints are small. On a busy Saturday, drinks arrived after one party had finished their mains, one diner found the pepperoni pizza a little dry, and a short wait at peak hours is mentioned. One reviewer suggests booking beforehand. A vegan diner found a good choice of food, and one table was given welcome drinks on arrival.

“I usually travel by myself, so I dine alone. The atmosphere was pleasant and care was taken to include me in a wait queue because I didn't have a reservation. I was comfortably seated and only waited about 7 minutes. There were many choices on the menu. The flavor of the pasta was absolutely delicious. The service was excellent and efficient. I'd recommend going to enjoy their food and experience a pleasant meal.”

“Had a lovely experience at Ask Italian, Manchester, celebrating my friends birthday. It was my first visit here and I was impressed with the staff, the atmosphere, the restaurant decor and the cleanliness of the whole place. The lady who served us throughout our stay was so friendly and worked so hard. We were a party of 5 and we all enjoyed our food and drinks and the cocktails were gorgeous. I am vegan and found the choice of food to be good and my food was absolutely delicious. The only small niggle was that we ordered drinks and they took a while to come. Infact we had finished our mains by the time they came but it was very busy on a Saturday, so this is a small inconvenience. Over all, we had a great time and would all definitely return.”

“Food is out of this world and Sam our waiter was extremely friendly. Absolutely love this place.”
